Beautifully converted from a former farm building, this lovely cottage retains original features including exposed beams, brickwork and stone flooring. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a spacious and welcoming living area, with plenty of features such as a rustic farmhouse-style dining table, Smart TV/DVD, a wood burner-effect gas fire, plenty of seating and a fully equipped kitchen. There are four pleasantly decorated bedrooms. A double room with an en-suite shower room can be found on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two en-suite double rooms, a bunk bedroom and a family bathroom. Please note, the rooms upstairs have some low sloping ceilings. Two sets of patio doors lead out from the main living area to the pretty walled patio area – a delightful private space perfect for a BBQ or a morning coffee. You can also make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool (between May and September), or take part in the property owner’s Classic British Motorcycle Collection and Experience. You can play snooker, table football and table tennis in the games room, and younger children can play in the outdoor play area which has a giant sandpit, swings and a slide. They can also meet farm animals including cows and sheep. The farmland features acres of lush countryside with river walks, and there are opportunities for fishing (fly and coarse) and clay pigeon shooting. A wildlife hide overlooks the River Ottery with webcams showing swallows’ eggs hatching and baby bats leaving their nursery.
