Set on a working farm, this rustic four-bedroom barn conversion is a real gem. With all the facilities of a holiday park, it has the comfort and homeliness of a cottage. The kids will be delighted to help out with the farm animals and watch the wildlife through webcams on the TV as you immerse yourselves in the Cornish wilderness.
Inside, the house has a traditional feel with oak posts and flagstone floors. The open-plan living space has an easy flow so the whole gang can drift in and out at their leisure. Cook up fabulous feasts in the farmhouse kitchen which boasts a range oven and an American style fridge freezer, and bring everyone together to eat at the central dining table. Fling open the French doors and enjoy the country air or take the whole meal outside to the patio table if the weather is good. As the sun goes down, retire to the spacious living area, lit by a fantastic wagon wheel light feature, and take up residence on the comfy sofas with a family film. A twin bedroom downstairs and two king-size bedrooms on the first floor all have en-suite shower rooms, and there are an additional bunk room and family bathroom upstairs. Larger groups can also rent the adjoining property which connects internally if required, and those travelling with young children will be pleased to see stair gates already fitted to both the top and bottom of the staircase. Pile into the shared outdoor pool on warm summer days, and afterwards enjoy delicious homemade pizzas fired in the communal pizza oven.
