Located in Middleton on Sea, a pretty Sussex village on the coast that offers plenty of relaxation and family entertainment, with a good array of independent shops restaurants, cafes and pubs. The property is located directly on the beach so is ideal for keen swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. It is close to the South Downs, a great place to enjoy a variety of countryside walks, cycling and horse riding, and just a short drive from the Goodwood estate which hosts numerous motor sports, horse racing, golf and shooting events throughout the year. Nearby is the historical city of Chichester, which is home to the cathedral, Arundel Castle and Petworth House, home to one of the finest National Trust art collections.

Step into the spacious hallway, which guides you through to the light and airy contemporary kitchen. This is well-equipped with two electric ovens and a gas hob, American style fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and wine cooler, and a large breakfast bar, a sociable place to gather for morning coffee or to chat whilst dinner is prepared. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen leads into a large lounge/diner which is the perfect space to entertain. The dining table seats 14 easily (and 16 at a squeeze) and is ideal for large family meals. Afterwards, relax in front of the wood burner on the large comfy corner sofa. Teenagers can keep themselves amused in the separate TV room, which offers two sofas, Smart TV with DVD and a Wii console, or in the games room that overlooks the garden and offers a comfy corner sofa, TV and pool table. Off the hall, here is also a downstairs separate WC, and a large boot room, with plenty of space for coats and shoes, and a large selection of sport equipment to enjoy during your stay. Two sets of stairs at either end of the house lead up to the first floor where there are six bedrooms, four of which have sea views. The sumptuous master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower and WC, and your own balcony from which to admire the wonderful sea views. There is a further super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower, WC and a balcony for enjoying the seascape. Guests can choose from the four other bedrooms: including two doubles, a twin and a bunk bedroom, which has two bunk beds (including a hi-sleeper with sofa bed underneath). Also, on the first floor are two bathrooms both with roll top baths, separate shower and WC. In addition, on the ground floor, there is a step down to a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC.

Outside, relax on the decking with outdoor dining tables and sofa seating areas to enjoy the outdoor life. Enjoy a dip in the heated swimming pool (available April - October), relax in the hot tub (all year round), with use of the pool changing huts and outdoor shower. For those wishing to exercise indoors, the garage has a treadmill and rowing machine. For the slightly more energetic family members a game of croquet, outdoor table tennis or five-a-side football will bring hours of family fun or venture out onto the beach via your own personal access through a gate at the end of the garden. There is also a summerhouse in the garden for quiet relaxation. Finish off the day with a family BBQ and watch the sun go down with a glass of wine relaxing at the patio table and chairs. There is private parking for up to six cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely property set in an absolutely wonderful situation on the South Coast. All needs are catered for in plenty. The swimming pool and hot tub were super and well used throughout our weeks stay. The building, dating from the 1930s, is well kept internally but the exterior finish is now showing signs of "costal erosion and wear". A full redecoratRead moreion on the outside would really spruce up the property. But all in all, very good. Hide

8 adults and 4 children stayed at the house. We all had plenty of room and had a great time. The garden, pool and hot tub was wonderful. There is quite a lot of toy equipment there enjoyed by 3 children 3-4.

We spent a really enjoyable family weekend at Chenies. It catered for all age groups from 5 years old to seventies. The hot tub and swimming pool were really good and the house was so well equipped and comfortable and the location was perfect with a gate directly onto the beach. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed at.

Have stayed in many large properties in England with family and friends. This is without doubt the very best. Thank you so much. We will return.
