It is moments from the fantastic sandy beach at Camber, which is guaranteed to keep children and adults busy all day long in the summer months. The medieval town of Rye is a short drive away, or an easy walk across the fields. To explore more of this stunning area, hop on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch railway – a joy for families. Weekend bookings are welcome.

Cambers Sands is a popular family destination due to its beautiful sandy beach located right on your doorstep. If you can tear yourself away from sun, sea and sand, the East Sussex coastline has much to offer. Rye (4.5 miles) is a picture-postcard medieval town, most famous today for its quintessential cobbled streets. Its pretty streets are lined with art galleries, fine dining restaurants, boutique shops and cosy inns for you to explore. Romney Marsh (10 miles) spans 100 square miles of glorious countryside and is a great spot for those who love the outdoors. A great selection of trails are available to walkers, cyclists and horse riders, leading you through historic towns, villages, diverse habitats and along some of the most spectacular coastline East Sussex has to offer.

Downstairs there is a large open-plan kitchen/diner with a window at one end and French windows at the other. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dish-washer, washing machine and large fridge/freezer. There is ample provision of china, glass, cutlery and kitchen equipment. French windows open from the dining area onto a decked area and a pebbled East-facing garden. Enjoy breakfast and lunch al fresco in the sunshine at the large table. A barbeque is available. External storage contains plenty of beach equipment including folding chairs, a wind-break and buckets and spades. Also on this floor is a children’s bunk bedroom and a separate WC. Stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the cosy lounge which features comfortable sofas and chairs where you can relax beside the electric fire. Bean bags are available for the children. French windows open from the lounge and from the landing onto a West-facing balcony with table and chairs.

Watch the sun set behind the dunes with a drink in your hand. The bedroom on this floor contains twin beds (which can be made into a super-king-size on request). Upstairs, on the second floor the East-facing master bedroom enjoys the morning sun. It has a super-king-size zip and link bed (which can be made into a twin on request), a large built-in wardrobe and en-suite shower and WC. A West-facing double bedroom has views over to the dunes. A bright family bathroom has a bath, with electric shower over, and WC.

The cottage was lovely, perfect for two families meeting together. We had lunch at the Woolpack Inn in Brookland - absolutely delicious, a great recommendation, thank you. We walked from the house into Rye, a good walk, great hot chocolate at Knoop Cafe - best I've had. Lovely stay. Thank you.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Look Out, a modern house at the Rye end of Camber within walking distance of the beach. The facilities in the house were brilliant with a fully equipped kitchen including baking pans, scales, plenty of crockery and glassware and tea/coffee and a lovely welcome pack. As others say, parking is a bonus. If neediRead moreng a twin bedroom, note that the middle floor does not have a bathroom on the same floor. Great property! Lots of care and attention to everything included. Camber sands is a quiet location (The Owl is a lovely pub for good quality food). Some nice walks nearby. Nice places to visit nearby which you can get to on the bus really easily.

The situation of this house is ideal for a 10min stroll to the beach. It's fairly quiet here & good to have off road parking. Linen is clean & there are plenty of towels. Also plenty of crockery/cutlery/glasses & cookware. A few things need attention but we enjoyed our stay & our holiday.

The lookout was a really lovely place to stay: very comfortable house and well equipped. Its dog friendly and in walking distance of the sections of the beach at Camber Sands that are accessible with dogs in the summer months. There are some great places to visit locally. We had a great holiday and would love to visit again someday

The house is great for a large family with plenty of space (and toilets!) the owners provide lots of great information for the area. Beach is close enough to walk - the roads in the local area get pretty jammed up when its hot but having 2 parking spaces makes it much easier to enjoy. We had a great time made easier with a fully equipped house
