It dominates a situation overlooking the sea with a footpath down to the beach, private woods and very large gardens including a log cabin games room and spa. This uniquely welcoming property sleeps 15, surrounded by the majestic mountains, rivers and forests of the fabulous Snowdonia National Park — it’s ten-minutes’ walk from miles of sandy beach, and a mile from Harlech’s ancient castle, village shops, restaurants and St David's Golf Course.

Special on-site facilities include: a new spa facility, outdoor hot tub, sauna, and a cool BBQ area. There are new bathrooms and kitchens, a media room, a beautiful dining room and renewed staircase to restore the house to its original elegance, as well as hundreds of details that enhance this truly superb location for a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

SLEEPS 15: 8 bedrooms; 2 king-size, 4 twin rooms, 1 single and 1 bunk room (2 twins may be zipped together to make a super-king) and a cot (suitable for infants only). 2 of the bedrooms make up a family wing with its own kitchenette and shared bathroom.

BATHE: 2 fully fitted bathrooms with showers, bath and WC. 2 shower rooms with WCs. 2 separate WCs with washbasin. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.

COOK + DINE: Fully equipped kitchen with induction hob range cooker, 2 ovens, cafetieres and a microwave. Masses of storage space. There is a large dining table with sunset views over the sea, capable of seating 15 guests in style. There is also a handy utility room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board, iron, and drying racks. The master-suite has an en-suite kitchenette. 1 highchair available.

RELAX: 2 living areas with big comfy sofas, chairs and floor cushions — one with seating focused around large TV, the other focussed around stunning sunset views with an open fire.

OUTSIDE: Very large gardens with two lawns, wooded areas, and picnic tables and chairs. You're welcome to pitch a tent or two in the extensive grounds if you wish - great for kids! (We just ask that you move it halfway through your stay so the grass can recover). Parking, with a Tesla charge point, for at least 6 cars. Hot tub.

TECH: Media room with large screen etc. Free Wi-fi internet is high speed with unlimited downloads.

PLAY: The games cabin (30 square metres) comes with table football, full-sized table tennis, and a full-sized pool table with lights and cushions. State of the art spa including a sauna built with the best Finnish wood, outdoor hot tub, BBQ area with fire pit, chillout room with kitchenette, woodburner, and a hi-fi. Each Friday after a guest leaves, the tub is emptied, cleaned, refilled and chemicals are added. This results in the tub not reaching the fixed temperature of 38 degrees until the early hours of Saturday.

PETS: 2 well-behaved dogs welcome to stay on the ground-floor by arrangement.

VENUE HIRE: This property does not cater for weddings or corporate events.

LOCAL AREA: Snowdonia Retreat is one mile south of the village of Harlech.
