Majestically perched on the unspoilt Pelion Peninsula, overlooking the sparkling azure waters of Lefokastro Bay, this luxurious villa offers the ultimate in relaxation for large group holidays. Surrounded by olive trees and the natural flora of the Pelion forest, there is a choice of peaceful yoga platforms with panoramic sea views, a private infinity pool from where you might glimpse dolphins leaping above the gentle waves in the bay below and a beautiful sandy cove where you can snorkel in the crystal-clear, calm ocean. This is the perfect holiday home for family groups or friends wanting their own private but not isolated space in an unspoilt, rural location.

Crafted from local stone, this elegant Mediterranean villa is in keeping with the surrounding landscape and blends naturally into the contours of the hillside. Within the main house, there are six sea-fronted bedrooms sleeping 12 guests over two wings, all with air conditioning and far-reaching vistas across the glistening Pagasetic Gulf. Four bedrooms are en-suite and two bedrooms have a shared bathroom. A separate 2 storey stone annexe with a lounge and kitchen, its own private terrace and mezzanine-level bedroom, sleeps an additional two guests with an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. Spacious interiors are flooded by natural sunlight pouring through the windows, reflecting off the whitewashed walls and marble flooring.

A large, well-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge area means that self-catering is fun and effortless or if you’d prefer not to cook, catering for an evening meal can be provided on request. Meals can be served either at the indoor dining table or on one of the outdoor terraces overlooking the ocean. As the sun begins to set, the ground-floor terraces are the perfect spot to admire the lights of Lefokastro village reflecting in the water of the bay. And as the evening draws to an end, you can head to the upper terrace and have a nightcap under the stars.

Tranquil days can be spent lounging under the shade of an umbrella on one of the sunbeds by the infinity pool, listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean while some fresh fish sizzles on the BBQ. A yoga terrace is hidden in the olive trees below the house and from here, steps lead down to the beach and a sea platform on the rocks below. If you fancy exploring the local coastline, the villa has its own private mooring below the house. The owner can arrange the use of a private motorboat during summer months (please contact us for more information).

LOCAL AREA: The Pelion Peninsula is one of the prettiest locations in Greece. Relatively untouched by tourism, the area is tranquil and dotted with small towns which are filled with traditional tavernas and an abundance of sandy beaches. According to legend, Pelion was the summer residence of the twelve Gods of Olympus and the mythical country of the Argonauts and the Centaurs.

The nearest village to the villa is Lefokastro where there are three tavernas, a village shop and a bar. This is reached via a 10-minute stroll along the villa’s private beach. The main shopping centre is only an 8km drive away in the hilltop town of Argalasti, known for its cobbled paths and medieval houses, heavily influenced by the ancient Byzantine years.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: In the spring and autumn, Pelion is a popular destination for walkers, with a variety of public footpaths running through the foothills and around the coastline. The villa provides direct access to a picturesque coastal footpath which leads to Kalamos, Afissos and beyond.

For sailors, the Pagasetic Gulf offers perfect sheltered anchorage for yachts and a base to explore Pelion and the neighbouring Sporades islands, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos. Yachts can be chartered in Volos, and smaller boats (sailing or motor) can be hired nearby.

If you’re visiting in winter, you can head to Mount Pelion (52km) where skiing is a popular pastime. There are 4 runs and a ski-lift there.

GETTING THERE: Nearest airport: Volos Nea Anchialos (45km). Nearest train station: Volos Railway Station (30km).
