Set within the Cairngorm National Park and the Scottish Highlands, this 17th century manor house was built in the Scottish baronial style and offers the perfect countryside retreat.

No expense has been spared in this breathtaking mansion, which boasts features such as wood panelling, large feature fireplaces, intricate ceilings and outstanding artworks and items of furniture. Up to 24 guests can stay in the main house’s 12 bedrooms, and there is room for an additional four guests in cottages adjacent to the main house. With an array of relaxation spaces, including a dining room to seat 20, there are plenty of wonderful places to entertain and socialise with your guests. There’s the warm and welcoming drawing room, with comfortable seating and a roaring fire, the games room with full-size billiards table, and the extra-special whisky library, with a selection of single malt whiskies to taste. Guests can expect a luxurious stay down to the smallest extras, which include Egyptian cotton bed linen, luxury toiletries and soft bathrobes.

Highland Baronial Castle is surrounded by 18 acres of stunning grounds, which span manicured lawns, woodlands, and a Victorian walled garden. Among the stand-out features are the lochan, where you can learn to fly-fish with a ghillie, and the magical woodland bonfire area. There are also a host of outdoor activities to entertain children and adults alike – these include table tennis, a croquet lawn, archery and a children’s play area. You can even explore the surrounding area on two wheels with the complementary bikes available.

The property’s expansive grounds, large rooms and features such as Wi-Fi make it an excellent location to host corporate events of any kind, from meetings and team building right through to product launches.

LOCAL AREA: The Baronial Castle lies nestled amidst the natural splendour of the Cairngorm National Park. To the west lies the Queen’s own Highland retreat at Balmoral (33 minutes), while the stunning route north leads to the promise of whisky in the remarkable Spey Valley (1 hour).

Nearby Strathdon (5 minutes) is home to the Lonach Gathering, the oldest Highland games in Scotland. Each year the grounds of The Baronial Castle echo with the march of the imposing Lonach Highlanders as they patrol the local estates before journeying onwards to the glory of the games.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: The Baronial Castle boasts access to some of the finest fishing, golf and outdoor pursuits in Scotland. Right in the grounds you can enjoy table tennis, croquet and archery, and there is a children's activity area. Borrow the complementary bicycles to explore the local area.
