An enchanting traditional 19th century wine estate in the heart of the Languedoc Roussillon, boasting a cluster of independent cottages with uninterrupted views over the vineyards, olive groves and the distant Alaric mountains.

Welcoming up to 38 guests, Chateau du Vin offers a tranquil escape in one of the leading domains of the Minervois region. It is the perfect setting for a big group holiday where you can experience the many pleasures of French country life, unwind and soak in the beauty of the South of France.

The nine guest cottages complete with spacious reception hall are nestled in 45 hectares of vineyards, 3 hectares of olive groves, and over 65 hectares of farmland and fragrant pine forests and have been recently renovated encompassing a luxurious home from home charm. Each cottage overlooks the pretty gardens, swimming pool and tennis court, all of which are available for your exclusive enjoyment during your stay. The estate is brilliantly family-friendly with an outdoor children's play area, a play room with fancy dress and games, ping pong table, tennis court, and a fully-secure swimming pool.

While on holiday here you can explore the vineyards, book a cellar-tour and taste the wines, hike through miles of private countryside following herb-scented trails or use one of the estate's bikes and venture further afield along the peaceful country roads surrounding the estate. It is the ideal location for gatherings with friends and family, for special events, intimate weddings or to simply enjoy for a holiday! 

For weddings and corporate events there is a large meeting room/reception hall, big enough for up to 100 people seated. It can be extended into the courtyard with a marquee, and there's also a large park in front of the chateau which can hold a marquee. Alternatively, you can arrange a wedding ceremony in the vineyards.

Chardonnay (sleeps 8) – 2 en-suite double bedrooms, 1 en-suite kid’s bedroom with 4 single beds, 1 bathroom, 2 sofa beds, open plan kitchen with pizza oven and dining table seating 16 guests, living room, private terrace with BBQ and seating, small garden, laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Picholine (sleeps 5) – 1 double bedroom, 1 mezzanine with 3 single beds, 1 sofa bed in living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, private terrace.
Luques (sleeps 5) – 1 double bedroom, 1 mezzanine with 3 single beds, 1 sofa bed in living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, private terrace.
L'Olivère (sleeps 2) – 1 double bedroom, bathroom, open plan living/dining/kitchen, private terrace. Merlot (sleeps 2) – 1 double bedroom, bathroom, open plan kitchen/living room, private terrace. Roussanne (sleeps 4) – 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen, private terrace.
Grenache (sleeps 4) – 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds, 2 bathrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, private terrace.
Syrah (sleeps 4) – 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds, 1 bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen, private terrace.

ADDITIONAL BEDS: Available upon request at a cost of €50 per bed. Travel cots available. Sofa beds to accommodate and extra 9 guests for a total of up to 47 guests. 

COOK + DINE: Each cottage is self-catering and has a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. Chardonnay cottage has a pizza oven, BBQ and a dining table seating 16 guests. Breakfast hampers and fresh bread can be delivered daily on request. Local caterers are available. High chairs available.

RELAX: Each of the cottages have a living area with soft seating.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Communal laundry room with 3 washing machines, children’s facilities, morning bread delivery service, all linens including pool towels are included. Prices include a complimentary weekly cleaning service for stays longer than one week. Use of the swimming pool (May-September), tennis court, children's play area and barbecue. Baby phones loaned free of charge.

VENUE HIRE: Suitable for wedding receptions and as a corporate venue, by arrangement. There is a fully equipped meeting room which can host up to 16 guests. 

LOCAL AREA: Nestled in the ‘Pays Cathare’ with its rich medieval history, Chateau du Vin is just 15 minutes from the UNESCO world heritage sites, the Cité de Carcassonne, and the Canal du Midi. The nearest boulangerie and supermarket is only five minutes by car or bicycle, along with the pretty village of Trebes which offers a choice of restaurants, a fishmonger and a butcher.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: The Languedoc Roussillon boasts more sunny days than any other region of France. It is one of the only places in the country where you can climb up to a hilltop medieval castle, picnic beside the Canal de Midi, visit a pink flamingo bird sanctuary and spend the afternoon at the beach, all in just one day!

Stroll across the great Roman Aqueduct or le Pont du Gard, climb over the walls of the Cite of Carcassonne or follow the trails of the knights of the King of France to the impressive hilltop castles of the Cathars.

This is the largest wine growing region in the world with vineyards sweeping inland from the Mediterranean coast to the rugged Pyrenees mountains. The landscape is dotted with wine estates who warmly welcome visitors for a tasting.
