Sitting in the pretty village of Guestling, in the heart of ‘1066 Country’, this lovely holiday home offers wonderful views across the lush Sussex countryside and is dotted with fun, funky design features throughout. Sleeping eight people over four bedrooms and welcoming three canine companions, it’s the ideal country retreat for families or groups of friends looking for a stylish holiday home to celebrate a special occasion in. Spend your days hiking in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or wandering through the streets of Hastings Old Town, and your evenings rubbing shoulders with the locals in the village pub or hosting al fresco dinners for your loved ones in the property’s private courtyard garden.

A spacious entrance hall welcomes you into this house and guides you through to a lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Make yourself at home and then head to the chic kitchen area to whip up a feast for your loved ones. Get the whole gang together to eat in the welcoming dining area, or head outside and dine alfresco in the private courtyard garden. After dinner, enjoy a glass of something cool and crisp in the garden, head indoors to the living area to curl up in front of the flickering wood burner, or make a beeline for the snug with a good book. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find one gorgeous bedroom on the ground floor and three more on the first floor. In the morning, enjoy a freshly-brewed coffee in the garden, and if you have your canine companions with you, take them for a long walk through the fields. When you come home, you’ll find a unique ‘doggy boudoir’ with a wet room, floor drainage and a butler sink with a warm shower attachment just off the courtyard.

Idyllic location surrounded by beautiful countryside and only 10mins away from the seaside town of Hastings which has lots to offer both in the town and surrounding areas. The house is stunning and extremely well equipped and nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly hosts.

Our stay at Rectory Cottage was by far the best rental holiday home we have ever stayed in. Everything you could possibly need was in the cottage. The grounds are easily accessible and vast, our dogs loved the freedom of running around the field and woodlands. Location is excellent for exploring the local areas and not far from the sea! What a wonderful stay we had. Perfect set up for doggies (even a muck room!) and easy walks in the woods and a trampoline for kiddos. Photos don't do it justice, it's finished to a very high standard, an incredibly well stocked kitchen and super cozy fireplace. Emma is a delightful and extremely helpful host too. This was one of the very best 'cottages' our group has stayed in. A very welcoming and comfortable home with everything we needed for our stay. The children loved the snug! There was ample room for all of us to eat/lounge/cook/sleep/wash! Well equipped, comfortable beds. Very dog friendly, (doggy boudoir, and exercise field immediately in front of house). Very quiet location, Close to seaside. Two Sawyers pub in Pett has excellent meals, within walking distance, along quiet road, and footpaths. Good walking and cycling area. Plenty of wildlife to see.
