Stay in a modern, detached stone cottage in a charming village in the heart of the Peak District where you’ll be surrounded by beauty spots and scenic walking routes as well as plenty of amenities and options for dining out. Sleep up to eight guests in this comfortable property with stylish and sleek interiors. The bright and airy open-plan kitchen/diner is the perfect space for entertaining guests with drinks, music and a special home-cooked meal. In the warmer months, head outside to the spherical garden pod which is protected from wind and rain. Stretch out on the rattan furniture on the patio to relax, or sink into the bubbling hot tub. If you’re in need of five minutes of peace, head to the study and get stuck into a good book.

Enter the hallway of the property and hang up your jacket before heading into the kitchen/diner with high-quality furnishings. The kitchen has sparkling surfaces and plenty of space to prepare a hearty meal. Move across the room to the long dining table with seating for eight which is illuminated by contemporary hanging lights. Glass patio doors open up onto the enclosed landscaped garden. The lounge is cosy and homely with seating for all around the Smart TV where you can enjoy a movie or games with your guests. Also on the ground floor is a study with a desk and sofa. This quiet space is ideal for some time alone or if you need to send a few emails. Climb the stairs to reach the three king-size bedrooms – two of which have attractive en-suite shower rooms. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. On the second floor is a fourth bedroom which is a zip-and-link super-king-size and can be made into a twin on request. Outside is a neat and elegantly designed garden with a patio area where you’ll find comfortable rattan furniture, a garden pod and a sheltered hot tub.

what a great property to stay at, you get everything you need to have a very nice holiday, just be careful with the roads leading to the property as un-finished, but this has nothing to do with the owners.

Really lovely, well furnished and comfortable house. Shame we didn't get to use the outdoor pod but this was due to the time of year we stayed (November)

Stayed here the last week in August, this house is amazing, very spacious, everything you need and more. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely surprise. Quite easy to get to places nearby, Shoulder of Mutton and Travelers Rest, really excellent food and service. I would highly recommend this place. Ian and family from Suffolk.

This property is in a great location. It is really spacious and very comfortable. Some lovely touches with a welcome food and drink pack and plenty of other little extras in a well equipped kitchen. Outside garden space is quite secluded and nice to have the hot tub. Beds are very comfortable. 150% recommend this property.

Mercia House was absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed especially a bathroom for each bedroom and an enclosed garden for our pooches. Bradwell itself is small but has a good CoOp, chip shop and bakery. The shoulder of Mutton was good for a quick drink but we found Castleton a much better place to visit for drinks / food and is only 10 mRead moreins away. There are plenty of great walks for all abilities close by. We will certainly visit again and highly recommend this property. Hide

The house is very well-equipped and comfortable on a pleasant new housing estate on the edge of Bradwell. We spent a lot of time in the large kitchen-diner. It is in an excellent location for walks and close to a Co-op supermarket. There is also a friendly pub for drinks (The White Hart). The only downside about the location is that there are few oRead morer no eating options in Bradwell, so a walk or drive to Hope or elsewhere is needed to eat out. Hide
