Bamburgh is a brilliant destination for making the most of Northumberland's coast and culture. Explore the historic Bamburgh Castle, just half a mile from this cottage, and the beach it overlooks. Bamburgh Beach has been voted one of the best surf spots in the North East, where vast expanses of golden sand meet northerly and easterly swells; it's also a brilliant beach for dog walking. Be sure to take a walk around the town and pop into its independent shops and eateries, you never know what you might find. The Farne Islands can be reached by boat from Seahouses, which is just 3 miles down the coast. Owned by the National Trust, these islands are home to puffins, a colony of grey seals and a variety of other types of interesting birds.

A lovely cottage in a great location plenty of room for our family of 7 & 2 dogs, only disappointment was the welcome pack was very weary in comparison to other cottages we have stayed in and the front room log burner was not working properly, overall a great stay.

We stayed at Grove House between 10-17th September which was perfectly located as a base for our Wedding Party, (myself and my partner married at a nearby venue). The size, location and proximity to Bamburgh Castle were outstanding, with perfect Castle views from the generously sized rear garden. Inside the house, was spotlessly clean, light and aiRead morery with an abundance of character and period features. The heated outside shower was an unexpected bonus after long walks on the beach. 5 Stars Hide

We found Grove House a really enjoyable place to stay. The house has everything you need in an excellent location close to the castle and all the amenities. Enjoyed the Lord Crewe Restaurant over the road several times! and the the little coffee and ice cream shops. Overall a great holiday and would certainly recommend Grove House to stay.
