This detached farmhouse is perfect for a big family get-together or a large group of friends. Set amidst rolling countryside in the heart of beautiful Cornwall the home is well placed for exploring much of the county. The lively town of Wadebridge is just 6 miles away with a great range of shops to browse as well as friendly local pubs and restaurants. Wadebridge is linked to Padstow via a scenic 6-mile riverside trail that’s ideal for cycling. If you’d rather go by road then Padstow is 11 miles from the retreat. The north coast offers many beautiful beaches and picturesque towns to visit as well as some fantastic coastal walking trails. For those that would like to give surfing a try, the classic surf town of Newquay is just 12.5 miles away. On the south coast, guests might like to visit picturesque Charleston 11 miles away or explore the beaches around Fowey 17 miles away. For a day out don’t miss a visit to the wonderful Eden Project, 10 miles away.

This holiday escape is beautifully laid out with wooden floors downstairs and tasteful decor. The large lounge features plush seating gathered around a wood burner and an extra reading area at the other end. The kitchen is warm and homely with an Aga and a lovely window overlooking the garden. There’s also a small table and chairs for sociable cooking and snacking. The separate dining room is set with a long dining table and seating for ten and a back door opens from here to the garden patio. Also on the ground floor, there’s a separate utility room with additional shower room. Upstairs guests will find four welcoming bedrooms. The master bedroom is king-size with an en-suite shower room, and there is a further king-size room, a double and a twin. The family bathroom features a bath, a separate walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. In addition to the main house, there is a delightful annexe in the garden. This elegant building features wooden beams and exposed stonework. It houses twin beds and a small seating area with a wood burner as well as an en-suite with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. This additional space is ideal for family members or friends who want their own space away from the hustle and bustle of the main house.

The expansive garden has several different areas to enjoy and is surrounded by open fields offering tranquillity and gorgeous views. Directly outside the house is a gravelled patio set up with a dining table and chairs. This is the perfect place to gather the whole group together for al fresco feasts. There is a BBQ available for guests to use, so outdoor cooking and eating are very much the order of the day here. Across a lawn with another peaceful seating area, the garden annexe is tucked away with its own outside deck. Beyond this, across another lawn, is the hot tub. This attractive wood-fired Scandinavian-style hot tub is set in an elevated position and enjoys lovely views across the surrounding countryside. Guests can stoke up the fire and watch the stars come out as they soak away their troubles here.
