Steps away from the shingle beach of Pevensey Bay, spend your days splashing in the surf or collecting shells and pebbles as you wander along the beach. Stroll to one of the welcoming pubs and restaurants for a hearty meal of locally sourced produce or head to nearby Hastings or Eastbourne for a wide choice of eateries. Charter a boat for a sail around Eastbourne Harbour or why not book a family fishing trip and ensure that the catch of the day is on the evening menu?

 

Your spacious beachfront holiday home has bags of room for all the family to enjoy from the moment you step into the welcoming entrance with original Edwardian tile flooring. Two lounge areas separated by folding doors offer flexible space: white-washed floors and a warming wood burner make the first lounge a cosy space for relaxing and chatting about your day's adventures; there's plenty of games to choose from in the second lounge to sit and have competitive family fun. For the nights when you want to be together, open the dividing doors and the lounges become one unified space, perfect for socialising. The contemporary kitchen features a large central island where guests can sit and keep the chosen chef company as they prepare the family meal to enjoy in the stylish dining area. Stay on top of the laundry with the well-equipped utility room off the kitchen, where you will also find a handy washroom perfect for freshening up before your meal. When it's time for sleep, head upstairs to one of five comfortably appointed bedrooms, most boasting spectacular sea views and homely touches. A family bathroom and separate shower room are on the first floor. Meet the meerkats and monkeys at Drusilla's Park (10 miles) where younger guests will enjoy the themed play areas and the whole family can hop onboard the Safari Express and explore the whole zoo. Discover the unspoilt countryside of the South Downs National Park (8.5 miles) by foot or pedal on one of the many walking or cycling trails. With routes to suit all ages and abilities, choose from woodland walks, riverside rambles or hilltop hikes. Pack the picnic blankets for a day out at Princes Park (4 miles), feed the ducks on the boating lake or take to the water on a family kayaking lesson.

We had a super weekend at WaveCrest celebrating my Dad's 70th birthday. A really lovely, spacious and well-equipped house and a great base from which to explore the lovely surrounding areas. We were four generations and an elderly dog and there was plenty of room for us. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need and the bonus of the utility room, when travelling with small children, was great. The house was perfect for our party of 10. A mixed group of one granny, several twenty somethings, adults and a ten year old. A fantastic, spacious, well equipped house with many little extras. The games cupboard was thoughtful, as was the outside warm shower. The beds were comfy and the towels luxurious. We loved everything about this house, it worked brilliantly for our three families each with a couple of 0-4 year olds. The space meant we could enjoy some dinner and drinks whilst keeping an eye on the toddlers playing. It was perfect being so close to the beach that we could just spill out of the door. Five of us met at Wave Crest for our annual reunion and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the fact that we didn't need to use our cars at all , as we were able to walk or take a bus to various places each day( We do all have the luxury of a bus pass!)We also ate locally each evening . We loved our week at this cottage, especially the immediate access to the beach. The kitchen is fabulous and so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. definitely a five star property!

We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed for two families, was fully equipped, very clean and the beds were very comfy. We love Watersports so spent every day in the sea. The outside hot shower was great and the boathouse was perfect for storing all the paddleboards etc. The location is amazing and you can just walk out onto the beaRead morech. This was our third booking at beautiful Wavecrest. We will be back for a fourth visit, no doubt. We love the location above all, but the house itself is pretty special as well. Masterfully renovated, light, modern but with character. Spacious even for 10 people. Garden and beach equipment are also wonderful. This was a fabulous house for a get-together with the family. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time on the beach, in the sea and making use of the private beach garden for barbecues and eating out. The house was spacious and the beds were very comfortable - but it is the beach location that makes it really special!
