In terms of location, it could be a six star rating! Fabulous position in the Kentmere valley - beautiful. The cottage was clean, homely and cosy plus well equipped for cooking / relaxing (how many cottages have a sauna?). Lovely property in a stunning, peaceful location. The house is comfortable and clean. We had a couple of issues with fixtures and fittings breaking but these were quickly fixed while we were there. Close to Windermere and Kendal and also the excellent Hawkshead Brewery in Stavely.

An absolutely beautiful cottage in a wonderful location for a serene Lake District experience. Wonderful walks from the cottage and the views from the garden are perfect. The cottage is well equipped and well kept, the sauna is an added bonus to come back to after a day in the hills.

A stunning location, we had a great holiday. The house is comfortable but disappointingly lacks those friendly, finishing touches, extra details and little things that make a big difference. Considering how far this property is from a shop not even a pint of milk was left as a welcome. The property didn't feel as clean as it should have been. We agRead morereed with many comments made by previous guests on where improvements could be made, these haven't been addressed in the last year. Hide
