Cleverly designed to create spacious living within the footprint of the original building, considered bespoke fittings celebrate the original features such as the working water wheel in the games room and the beautiful handcrafted four-poster double bed. Relax with a morning coffee enjoying the view from the window seat in the kitchen; gather to dine all together for sociable mealtimes; unwind in the cosy living room with the wood burner crackling, or settle in the games room where you will find a cinema area, pool tables, dartboard and air hockey. Kids and adults alike will love exploring all the nooks and crannies of the house, as well as marvelling at the river and stream running through the grounds. Just as unique as the interior, outside you’ll find a shared island garden, accessed via a walkway across the river, with plenty of garden furniture and a BBQ. Spot ducks, geese, herons, and kingfishers around the deep ponds too! Guests are able to fish and launch canoes with prior permission from the owner, and there is ample off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Go Ape Moors Valley (11.5 miles) has fantastic tree-top trails and RockReef (12 miles) offers indoor rock climbing. Both young and old will love the exhilarating flumes at Splashdown (6 miles). For a slower pace, find golden sand at Studland Beach (22 miles) or pebbled shores at Durdle Door (15 miles). Lovely to revisit a former B&B from 55 years ago as a little girl. So much to do. Fishing, kayaks, paddle boards, loads of outdoor children's quality toys. A summerhouse to sit and chill in. Watching the geese on the river. Outside barbecue and pizza oven. As a family we had a great time. The cottage is beautiful. Set in a rural area, although next to a busy main A road, inside the property is cosy, warm has all the facilities you would expect from a periodic property and more. There are lots of features you stumble upon throughout your stay. The gardens, river and fields are perfect for socialising, adventuring and for your furry fRead moreriends. Absolutely fabulous Mill - we loved our family holiday here. So generous allowing us to use canoes and paddleboards in the river. We nearly got to the White Mill down the river - it was beautiful gliding along with the swans and so peaceful. Would recommend to anyone especially a large family as the space is fantastic. The games room was wonderful Read more- my daughter now wants piano lessons!! There was so much to do keeping the kids entertained. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. X Hide

We had a fun packed week, plenty to keep the the grandsons busy and wonderful places for them to explore, especially in the canoes, watched several films on the cinema Wall played Pool and air hockey, great fun all round, loved the outdoor kitchen!
