You are well placed for walking the many coastal paths right on the doorstep. The property is a short walk from the passenger ferry over to Fowey with its independent shops, restaurants and pubs dotted along the streets. While visiting Fowey, St Catherine's Castle and Readymoney Cove is a must see attraction. Slightly further afield to the east are the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro and to the west you will find Eden Project, the long sandy beach at Carlyon Bay and the historic harbour of Charlestown with its tall ships, pebbled beach and pubs.

Through a gate and head up external steps to the row of five period houses, enter the property, renovated in 2019, through the front door and into the delightful hallway, with stairs leading up to the first-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The light and airy open-plan space enjoys fabulous views over the estuary and across to Fowey, and a wood burner for those cooler evenings. Here you can relax on the comfy seating while watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV with the added benefit of Apple TV. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, perfect for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. Enjoy family mealtimes together around the dining table seating eight. Also on this floor is the first of the four bedrooms a twin bedroom. Heading up the steep cottage style stairs to the second floor is the master king-size bedroom which boasts stunning river views and has an en-suite shower room with WC. Venturing back down to the ground floor are the final two bedrooms a king-size and a double bedroom. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor with roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. To complete the ground floor is a utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Heading outside from the French doors in the kitchen, there are five steps up to the patio area with bistro seating, perfect to relax in and enjoy the view with a cool beverage, or a spot of al fresco dining with a charcoal BBQ. Beyond the patio area is a lawn area and the whole garden area is fully enclosed. Beyond the property there is a right of way for the neighbouring property. It retains genuine character and has modern amenities at the same time. Clean, warm, well furnished. We really appreciated the owners accommodation. Excellent value. We felt really welcome.

This is a well-sited house, with stunning views over the river. The decor is light, airy and beautifully low-key. It is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with good nights' sleeps had by all. A fabulous stay.

For our week in beautiful Polruan there was rain and then there was sunshine but. that didn't matter as this home caters for both..we spent our time either looking out from the lounge at all the boats and activity on the estuary or sitting in the garden when the weather did behave and we weren't out exploring. The house is stunning with amazing batRead morehrooms and quality beds and the sociable layout suited us. The owners have thought of everything Hopefully we will be back next year. Thank you! Hide

A lovely cottage well positioned in Polruan with views across to Fowey. Great facilities for large groups or families. Very clean and tidy with lovely garden at the back.

The cottage is lovely. Very flexible accommodation for families with members of differing ages. We are an extended Polruan family going back hundreds of years (wellingtons, Callahan and Salt) and have stayed in Polruan with up to 28 family members every year at this time (apart from covid) since 1994. Between us we have stayed in at least 50 rentalRead mores and have seen the apartments improve over time. The Knot for me keeps the character of the houses and is one of the very best standards. The views are stunning & the bed super comfortable (top floor) but the house is nowhere near a 4 star rating. The interior is extremely tired & grubby & decorations cheap & of poor quality.

First class accommodation. Spotlessly clean and in a lovely location overlooking the harbour. Local pubs are a short walk away as is the ferry over to Fowey.

Well equipped house with great views . We frequently visit Polruan and this house ticked all the boxes for comfort and location, very near the centre but not a too steep walk to the Carpark. We were four adults a baby and a dog and the house suited us perfectly. We always book a house that sleeps more than we require to ensure we have plenty of livRead moreing space and this worked well. We would happily stay again. Hide
