A beautiful country cottage, ideally located within the historic National Park, within easy reach of some wonderful attractions to explore the ideal setting for a family getaway.

Situated within the northern reaches of the New Forest, this charming cottage sleeps eight over four bedrooms and is an idyllic choice for large families keen to discover the windswept wilderness of this stunning national park. Take to the nearby trails on foot or by bike, greeting the resident wild ponies and donkeys as you navigate the varied terrain with a picnic in tow. Your homely accommodation boasts panoramic views of your surroundings and is a sheer treat for stargazing, so grab a blanket and a glass of wine and relax in style.

The red brick exterior is straight out of a storybook complete with climbing wisteria and roses, and inside is a comfortable haven characterised by vaulted beamed ceilings, roaring wood burners and traditional limestone flooring. Sink into the comfortable sofas in the lounge, warming your toes in the glow of the wood burner. The paddock garden can be seen through the double patio doors, so why not throw them open for an al fresco vibe. Mealtimes are a delight thanks to the spacious dining room complete with a handcrafted table with enough seating for your entire party, and the impressive kitchen has everything you could possibly need to whip up a feast. At bedtime, two ground floor bedrooms provide a quiet retreat for a restful night’s sleep including a pretty twin with its own miniature library and a fabulous room with a euro-king-size bed. Both have easy access to the elegant shower room, but stairs leading from the dining room reveal the first floor with its sleek bathroom. The two remaining bedrooms are also on this level; a child-friendly bunk bedroom and a spacious room with a super-king-size bed. Venturing outside will reward you with several different areas for relaxing and play, whether you opt for the gorgeous, enclosed garden, the delightful paddock or the patio. Gated off-road parking is available for three cars.

A haven for cyclists and walkers alike, the New Forest is home to a plethora of scenic routes through quintessential towns and villages including beautiful Lyndhurst 8 miles away, Brockenhurst 12 miles away and Beaulieu 16.5 miles away. For the youngest members of your party, Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park (8.5 miles) is sure to raise a smile, but for the adults, there is a wealth of gastropubs and traditional inns scattered throughout the spectacular countryside. The peaceful parish of Redlynch is also a superb base for touring the coastal resort of Bournemouth (23.5 miles) and the cathedral cities of Salisbury (11.5 miles) and Winchester (22 miles). Alternatively, you can catch a Ferry from Lymington (17 miles) and discover the Isle of Wight from the vantage point of charming Yarmouth, a village seemingly lost in time.

Hope cottage is a beautiful rural retreat with direct walks from the garden. The property is extremely well equipped ,the range cooker is brilliant as is the quality of all the kitchen items. Everything was perfect during our stay! We were extremely impressed with the high quality of the furnishings including the bedding. It really was home from home. Beautiful cottage in stunning location. Horses come directly to the gate and deer spotted in the woodland behind the property. Great walks directly from the house. This cottage is amazing the pictures really dont do it justice lots of little touches no expense spared also amazing location to seeing dear horses and cows also donkeys right outside the property.

Faultless! Every need catered for and excellent information pack. Great communication with owners throughout. We were so happy at Hope Cottage that we would love to return. Location peaceful and perfect for walks straight from the front door. Garden and paddock so relaxing with birdfeeders and forest right behind!

Nice when a place is even better than the pictures and description! Great rural location yet only 15 minutes to supermarket and a couple of pubs lovely 2 mile walk away (we rented e-bikes from Lyndhurst). Massive enclosed garden perfect for our dog who cannot go off lead so finally had a chance to run and run. Beautifully equipped house with good wRead moreifi and everything you could need and all high end. Lots of horses around property in morning as well as cows and deer. Hide

Hope Cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is very spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everything we needed was there and the welcome parcel was really appreciated. It could not be in a prettier location. The views are so special and we regularly had wild horses, donkeys and cattle grazing right up to the gate. This is a lovely cottage, with an extensive garden space. Beautifully decorated and with every facility - well equipped and designed kitchen, good wifi and tv channels, comfortable bedrooms and a great dining space. We stayed at Hope Cottage last week with our family made up of 3 generations! We loved the accommodation, the quality of furnishings, the gardens and fantastic location. The kitchen is very well equipped and again the quality is top notch. We would definitely love to return.

Hope Cottage is wonderfully equiped with every gadget you could wish for and the location is good for reaching other parts of the New Forest. Wonderful walks direct from the cottage, and the paddock and garden are great outdoor spaces for families and dogs.

Fabulous family holiday at Hope Cottage. The cottage itself is in a lovely remote location where you can see wildlife from the cottage garden; we were lucky enough to enjoy horses coming up to the garden gates along with deer and cows which our 5 year old loved.
