This Grade II listed house has character in abundance and is decorated in a homely style. It is ideally placed for touring, with Bristol, Bath, and the beautiful Cotswolds all being within easy reach.

This spacious house is set in the heart of Winterbourne, which is a large village located on the northern fringes of vibrant Bristol, 6 miles from the city centre. There is a good range of local amenities nearby as well as great spots for a walk, including the village duck pond and Huckford Quarry nature reserve. The city is steeped in history and has historical and heritage sites, like Bristol Cathedral and the Lord Mayor's Chapel, which are not to be missed. Also within easy reach are many popular attractions, such as the beautiful city of Bath, the Severn Estuary, and the unspoiled countryside of the Cotswolds, which are all within 12 miles.

The covered entrance porch gives access into the hallway, which immediately gives a hint of the age and character of the property. Once inside you will find a king-size bedroom to the left with an en-suite shower and WC. Just across the hall is a spacious dining room with an impressive fireplace with wood burner. Following on from here is  a lounge with comfortable seating and Smart TV, a perfect spot to snuggle up and watch a movie after a busy day exploring. To the back of the property is a traditional farmhouse kitchen with a gas range-style cooker and hob, two fridge and a freezer, a dishwasher, and a microwave. A useful utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading back into the dining area you will see the steep, winding staircase rising to the first floor. There are changes of level across the first-floor landing and care should be taken with children here and on the stairs. There are five bedrooms on the first floor, two king-size with an en-suite shower and WC, and another two king-size bedroom and one twin. Also on the first floor is a family shower room with WC. A further winding staircase leads to the second floor where you will find the remaining two king-size bedrooms set into the eaves. Between them and completing this property is a family shower room with WC.

Heading outside via the kitchen you will find a beautiful, enclosed garden, landscaped in 2021. There are gravel terraces with furniture and a fire pit to be enjoyed. To the front of the property is ample off-road parking.

Stayed at the cottage with 9 family members for a birthday celebration. It was clean with plenty of character and had loads of space, both in- and out-doors. Close to both Bristol (15 mins) and Bath (30 mins) for things to do. Was clearly a first time holiday rental as there were some very minor things to rectify but Martin, the host, was great in Read moreresolving quickly. Would recommend for larger family gatherings. We had a fabulous week at this wonderful property. Our family from around the World gathered and never left the property apart from walks, crazy golf and using the local farm shop. Everything was perfect.. comfortable beds with top quality bedding & pillows. Spacious, clean and the owner thought of everything from games, plenty of cooking and cleanRead moreing equipment. The outdoor gas bbq and fire pit were brand new and in fact the photos on the website do not do this property justice. Thank you Hide
