Packed with character and boasting beamed ceilings, lavish furniture and stylish decor, the property will welcome you home with a crackling wood burner and a relaxing ambience. Curl up with your morning coffee in the lounge and watch the embers glow, heading through to the elegant dining room when it is time to eat. Your resident chef has a range of equipment and gadgets to cook up a storm in the kitchen, and there’s even a handy utility room to take care of any laundry needs. At bedtime, there are five bedrooms and a variety of washing facilities across the first and second floor to suit any party make-up, including two bathrooms and a pretty king-size bedroom complete with its own en-suite. Parking is subject to availability on the village square, but there is a small car park nearby with reasonable charges.

Overlooking the village square, this property is within easy reach of a plethora of hidden gems and excellent finds including two Michelin Star restaurants, a racecourse and a 14th-century priory. The estuary town of Grange-over-Sands offers a pleasing 4-mile stroll to blow away the cobwebs, rewarding you with panoramic views, Victorian architecture and a cascade of independent shops and quintessential tearooms. The ornamental gardens are home to several species of waterfowl to see. On warm days the promenade is a joy to amble along with an ice cream in hand, or why not bring your bikes and investigate the sleepy village of Witherslack? It’s 9 miles away and has a popular pub and walking trails to Whitbarrow Scar. For the golfers, you’ll have two courses to choose from within 5 miles, but you’ll find lots to keep you active thanks to the footpaths leading through the sweeping fells leading from your accommodation.

The house was in a perfect location in the centre of the village. It was equipped and decorated to a very high standard whilst retaining comfort and character.
