Slow down the pace a little with a relaxing coastal break at this gated holiday complex in the traditional Dorset seaside village of Charmouth. With five bedrooms sleeping ten people, this converted farm building is ideal for a special family occasion by the sea. From here, you can stroll down to Charmouth Beach, around half a mile from the property, to hunt for fossils, build sandcastles and swim in the safe, shallow waters. There’s plenty to do at the holiday complex itself if you want to stay put as it has shared onsite leisure facilities for all ages, including an outdoor swimming pool and children’s play area that will keep the little ones occupied while you grab some precious moments to yourself.
Inside, the property is tastefully decorated in calming neutral colours. Grab a quick breakfast in the spacious kitchen before heading out for the day or enjoy socialising together in the dining area, which is open plan to the lounge beyond. This room is light and bright, with oak flooring, comfortable leather sofas and a TV/DVD for cosy nights in. In warmer weather, throw open the French doors that open out on to the patio for al fresco dining or an informal party. There are five bedrooms, including a twin room on the ground floor for easy accessibility. Upstairs, the master king-size bedroom comes with a TV and en-suite shower room. During your stay, you’re welcome to make the most of the holiday park’s facilities, which include a shared covered outdoor heated pool (open during specific dates only and not available all year, please refer to the 'need to know' section for details) and a cafe serving speciality teas and coffees. For a reduced rate, you can also make use of the Char Valley Health Club, which features a gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19 the indoor Health Club onsite is currently closed until further notice. Also the café will be operating a limited menu and takeaway service only until further notice.
