Known as a ‘gem in Suffolk’s crown’, there are plenty of excellent places to eat and drink, and plenty to keep you occupied. Located within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, outdoor pursuits abound with many tracks and trails for walking and cycling accessible from the front door.

The ground floor of this outstanding property features a spacious open-plan living and dining area, complete with a floor-to-ceiling picture window with views of the countryside and a wood burner for cosying up around. The space is made more special by the traditional exposed beams and plethora of occasional tables, lamps and seating to make you feel right at home. A dining table and chairs with plenty of room is ideal for a meal or a night of playing cards. The separate kitchen is well-equipped and caters for all your needs. A handy WC can also be found on this floor. Up the stairs to the first floor and you’ll find a galleried landing and the four welcoming bedrooms. The two king-size rooms are pretty spectacular and both have en-suite shower rooms. On one of the two also has a huge picture window with great views of the woods and surrounding areas. The remaining two bedrooms are a cosy single and a bunk bedroom with an additional single bed. All rooms have eye-catching pitched ceilings with exposed wooden beams. Outside, guests can enjoy an enclosed terrace and lawn with garden furniture. An adjacent barn houses a full-size table tennis table and an old farm cart that younger guests are welcome to use and explore.

We enjoyed our 3 generation stay in Brand, which was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Outdoors under cover the table tennis and darts was welcome. It is ideally situated for visiting Sutton Hoo - 2 of our group walked back. Attached to Vancouver and Sewell it would make a good location for a large group.

Brand Barn is a lovely spacious property which is tastefully decorated and furnished. We love the quiet isolation of it and relaxed feel and look forward to returning again next summer.
