If you are celebrating a special occasion, this luxurious coastal home is just the place, ideal for families or groups of friends, and welcoming for all ages. It is located in the centre of Southwold, only half a mile from the town’s sand-and-shingle beach and Edwardian pier – great for wandering home to after a day sunbathing and swimming. If you want to park up and then leave the car at home for the rest of your holiday, there is lots to do in Southwold for both children and adults. Stroll along the pier and enjoy at its quirky slot machines, wander along to the harbour, boating lake or putting green, explore the many shops, galleries, pubs and places to eat, or simply relish the town’s pretty seaside architecture. You might want to tour the famous Adnams Brewery or take in a film at the Electric Picture Palace – with its rising Wurlitzer organ. Feeling a little more energetic? Then hire a bike to explore the coastal scenery and surrounding villages, or catch the rowing-boat ferry across the River Blyth to Walberswick, where you will find a lovely beach and a selection of pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and boutique shops.

This spacious, two-storey property has plenty of room for everyone, with its focus on the gorgeous lounge, which is flooded with natural light thanks to the bi-fold doors that lead to the garden. A range of comfortable seating surrounds a pebble-effect fire, and a lovely glass chandelier is suspended from the double-height ceiling. The huge, contemporary kitchen has a range cooker and plenty of worktop space – and with its dining table and chairs it is the perfect sociable space for gathering everyone together. Another special feature is the games room, where a game of table football will keep everyone entertained. There is also a double bedroom on this floor (accessed through the games room), which has French doors to a private, decked outside space, and a bathroom. Upstairs, there are four beautifully decorated bedrooms. The king-size bedroom has its own dressing area and an en-suite bathroom, and there are two doubles and a twin which all share a bright, modern shower room.

The house has the benefit of a large garden with trees, shrubs and a lawn, and two decked areas for al fresco dining. The downstairs bedroom also has access to a private, decked area of garden.

Couldnt fault this place. Location was excellent for town and beach. Suited our mixture of a family perfectly. Had everything you could possibly need. Thought I would catch them out when I made sausage rolls but they even had a pastry brush! Was impressed that we all had plenty of space whether that was in the living room or eating a meal at tRead morehe dining table. Hide
