Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of bustling surfer’s favourite, Croyde, this modern property sleeps eight people across four bedrooms. Only 1 mile from the idyllic horse-shoe shaped Croyde Bay, with its golden sand and clean surf, this property’s location makes it popular with families and surfers alike. The village has some lovely independent shops and restaurants, as well as a range of pop-up eateries during the summer months. There are numerous golden sandy beaches on this stretch of the North Devon coast, with Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe all within 6 miles. Connected by the stunning South West Coast Path, you can even walk between them. You’re also within 20 miles of the breathtaking rugged landscape of Exmoor National Park.

Decorated in cool tones, this modern home feels bright and airy throughout, with the occasional splash of colour, pop of pattern and piece of artwork reflecting its coastal location. The main lounge has plenty of comfortable seating, so that everyone can relax and watch TV in comfort, but should some of you want your own space, there’s another smaller lounge also with a sofa and TV. When it’s time to prepare a fresh meal for everyone, head through the French doors from the main lounge into the well-equipped kitchen/diner. There are enough chairs for everyone to dine together or gather around the table to plan the next day’s adventure. A handy utility room completes the ground floor, with a washer/dryer for all those wet, sandy towels. The four beautifully presented, good-sized bedrooms are on the first floor, along with the contemporary family bathroom.

On warmer days, throw open the bi-folding doors in the dining room and spill out on to the patio in the south-facing garden. Here, you can breathe in the fresh sea air whilst enjoying a morning coffee or a BBQ and a few drinks in the evening. There is also a shed for storing wetsuits, surfboards and other outside equipment.

We were really pleased that we booked this property. It was clean, modern and really spacious. A five minute walk to the lovely village of Croyde (pubs, cafes and open top bus) and within walking distance of a lovely beach. 2 minutes walk to a chip shop on the nearby caravan site, bus stop at the end of the road and only a short drive to BrauntoRead moren, Saunton and Barnstaple. Highly recommended. Hide
