A stylish detached farmhouse in a stunning location, just a short drive from the thriving village of Braunton. This spacious farmhouse and barn conversion has been thoughtfully renovated with a tasteful blend of old and new. This is a great location for getting out and about, exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside and coast. Visit historic Braunton just 5 miles away for excellent surfing beaches, where you can book surf lessons or head to the surfing museum and learn about the history of this water sport. This retreat is set between the popular sandy beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe, both 7 miles, and 6 miles from Barnstaple too – the largest town in North Devon. If you’re looking for a great day out with the family, head to Combe Martin, 13 miles away and visit the family-friendly dinosaur park or the popular Exmoor Zoo 12.5 miles away.

This 18th-century property is simply stunning and offers spacious accommodation for 12 guests. The wonderful slate-floored kitchen sits alongside a beautiful dining room which features an oak table and an original bread oven. The many delightful reception rooms include a games room and a lounge with a wood burner. Upstairs there are five bedrooms to choose from. The super-king room and one of the king bedrooms both boast an en-suite each for added privacy. There’s also a family bathroom with a separate corner shower. Every corner of this property has been thoughtfully presented for guests to enjoy a welcoming, relaxing getaway with a big group.

Outside the gardens offer plenty of spaces for relaxing. Patio doors lead from the kitchen to the dining area, and on the opposite side of the house, steps lead to a quiet lawn courtyard. Just along the lane there’s a lawn area of additional garden space available for football and other games. Take a stroll to the top of the adjacent meadow and relax with a picnic overlooking the beautiful, wooded valley.

We loved the cottage. Easily enough room for us all . Clean and tidy . No tea towels or oven mitts where the only negative .

Our stay at Stepps Farm was wonderful, the location tucked away in Marwood was quiet and relaxing, but an easy 20 minute drive away from everywhere we like to visit. It was one of the best quipped holiday cottages we have ever stayed in, from the kitchen, to the many TV's, games, books and the snooker table all of which was much appreciated.

Stepps farm was excellent. It might be a good idea to warn folks that the entrance is tight. The only reason we have not given a 10 pn recommending the agents is because we were cancelled on the booked property with4 days notice. The staff were, however, excellent in helping us find another, which was probably better.
