Three superbly converted adjoining barn conversions, each with its own hot tub, make this an ideal retreat for a large family or a get-together with friends in the gorgeous Suffolk countryside. Set on a working farm, experience a true taste of rural life surrounded by fields and woodland crisscrossed by walking trails and bridal paths. The pretty market town of Saxmundham is 2.5 miles away, where you will find a great range of independent shops, welcoming pubs and restaurants, as well as a number of supermarkets. The coast at Thorpeness is 5.5 miles from your door. The Meare is Thorpeness’ beautiful 40-acre rowing lake where you can hire a boat and keep the children entertained for hours as they explore the Peter Pan-themed islands. The seaside town of Aldeburgh is a similar distance and plays host to numerous events throughout the year, including the famed Aldeburgh Festival, conceptualised by composer Benjamin Britten. A 16-mile drive up the coast will take you to the traditional holiday favourite of Southwold, where a visit to the pier is a must. Here, you will also find a long sandy beach, fabulous for a day of family fun.

The three barns are full of rustic charm, with much of the original woodwork on display and many unique features sitting alongside farmhouse-style furnishings. The first cottage, which sleeps two, is laid out on one floor and has an open-plan living area complete with comfortable seating, a cosy wood burner and a well-equipped kitchen/diner. An attractive bedroom features two single Hypnos beds that can be linked to form a super-king. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and rails to aid wheelchair users making this barn accessible to all. The second cottage, sleeping four, also has an open-plan living area with comfortable sofas, a warming wood burner, a fully equipped kitchen/diner, and a handy downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs are two delightful bedrooms, one with a king-size Hypnos bed, the other with twin Hypnos beds and a stylish bathroom. The final cottage, which sleeps four, again features an open-plan living area with plush sofas, a wood burner and a well-appointed kitchen/diner for all your culinary needs. There is also a ground-floor cloakroom. Upstairs, the accommodation is similar to the second cottage with a king-size room and twin room, both with Hypnos beds and a lovely bathroom tucked under the sloping eaves of the roof. Guests also have access to a separate shared games room with table tennis and table football, as well as dining space for ten people and toilet/shower facilities. A tumble dryer, iron and ironing board are kept here too.

The barns are centred around a large, shared lawn, perfect for spending lazy summer days in the sun. French doors lead from each sitting room to a sunny terrace area with tables, chairs and your own luxurious hot tub.

The standard of cleanliness in some areas especially Stable Cottage was poor. The equipment in the kitchens was inadequate ie only one bread knife and one potato masher between all three kitchens

The accommodation and location is excellent! I think the information on the website didnt do it justice to be honest. We enquired about fridge/freezers available and were told there was just a fridge with a freezer compartment, 2 barns had large fridge freezers and another had just a fridge. The inventory for each could be clearer as it was certainRead morely more fully equipped than we understood from the information. In all, a fabulous venue and wed definitely stay again.
