Book this four-bedroom period conversion with distinctive features and stylish contemporary decor, located fewer than 200 metres from Padstow’s historic centre. The pier is 0.5 miles north — here you can take a ferry across to the upmarket village of Rock with its idyllic sandy beach, join a seal spotting boat trip, or jump on a thrilling high-speed sea safari. Venture just over a mile inland and you’ll find a rural landscape with farm shops, an Elizabethan stately home and the stunning South West Coast Path.

On entering the property, guests arrive in the spacious L-shaped lounge/diner, where a stone fireplace inset by a living flame gas fire is the cosy focal point and an eight-seater farmhouse-style dining table caters for your family’s feasts. A sleek white kitchen with wooden beams and a centre island, a shower room and a king-sized bedroom with a comfortable armchair is also on this level. Upstairs, the quirky bedrooms are built into the spacious eaves; the master bedroom boasts three arched large Gothic windows, a seating area and an en-suite shower room. A bedroom with bunk beds has a desk for gaming or working, plus there’s a beamed twin room and a sophisticated bathroom.

The building’s traditional Cornish stonework is the backdrop for a newly laid patio to the front of the property. With a picnic table and a sitting bench, it’s a convivial spot to enjoy alfresco meals together and take in its views of the sparkling estuary.

A fantastic place to stay, plenty of living space for 5 adults. The location is superb, close to the harbour with many nice pubs and restaurants, beautiful walks around the headland and along the Camel Trail. Short hop away from Rock via the ferry. Would definitely recommend staying here.
