From the doorstep, keen nature watchers and cyclists can follow a choice of footpaths and bike routes to explore the glorious surrounding area. Situated within the foothills of Cadair Idris on a traditional family farm, local landmarks include the ruins of the 13th-century Castell y Bere, Craig Yr Aderyn, and the Dolgoch Falls, all within 4.5 miles. Other local attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth, all within 13 miles. Aberdyfi is 13 miles away, with a range of independent shops and eateries, a golf course and a choice of water sports.

Entering this tastefully reimagined 16th-century farmhouse, the delightful lounge features plush seating, a Smart TV, timber beams and a welcoming wood burner set in an eye-catching stone inglenook. Heading through, the elegantly arranged and beautifully lit kitchen/diner sits beneath a double-height ceiling, with a beautifully equipped galley-style kitchen and a charming dining area with an additional wood burner, perfect for family get-togethers. Exploring the ground floor of this spacious, thoughtfully updated property further, you will find a soothing shower room, a handy utility and the first of the cottage’s four gorgeous bedrooms: a cheerful double room which overlooks the front patio and out towards the hills beyond. Three further bedrooms are upstairs: two cosy doubles and a snug twin, all with picturesque views. The accommodation is rounded off with a stylish and invigorating bathroom.

Heading outside, the enclosed back garden features ample outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ, ideal for al fresco meals and tranquil evenings spent watching the sunset. To the front of the property, a sweet, paved garden has a bench offering a quiet spot for a morning coffee and for enjoying the sounds of the nearby stream trickling past. Absolutely beautiful, newly renovated cottage in a stunning location. Incredible views and it was so lovely to see the lambs! Ken and Lisa were such lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble, the welcome hamper and essentials in the fridge were such a nice touch too! If youre after a peaceful escape then look no further!
