The Old Farmhouse

Beyond Idlicote, the nearby market town of Shipston-on-Stour (3 miles) provides a delightful selection of cosy cafés, independent boutiques, and welcoming pubs and restaurants to suit every taste. The area also boasts easy access to renowned attractions, including Stratford-upon-Avon (9.5 miles), the birthplace of Shakespeare, historic Warwick Castle (15 miles), Upton House and Gardens at Edgehill (8 miles) and the elegant spa town of Cheltenham (30 miles), famed for its celebrated Gold Cup horse racing festival.

Enjoy the views across the rolling farmland as you approach the farmhouse, set back with a traditional frontage with a lavender scented pathway that will guide you to the front door. Step inside to the hallway, with flagstone floors and tall ceilings along with a place for boots and coats. The lounge is accessed off the main hallway, a generously proportioned room where you can get together to watch the TV and enjoy the warmth of the open fire, just off the lounge, a second reception area that’s perfect for teenagers that may want their own space. For dining a formal dining hall that will seat twelve, here you can also light the open fire to enjoy a celebration supper, the walls have been painted with a mural - see how many cats you can find. For the chef there is a spacious farmhouse kitchen with electric Range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and for a quick morning coffee with breakfast a farmhouse table and chairs. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find five bedrooms, a twin with en-suite shower and WC, a double with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC, a double with en-suite shower and WC, a twin and a double. There is also a bathroom with shower over bath and WC on this floor. On the second floor you will find a double and a single room which is accessed via the double room. There is also a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Outside there are walled gardens where you can relax, with a table and chairs for dining along with garden games available in the summer season. There is ample off-road parking.  Please do not touch the animals or enter the fields, as this is a working farm.
