Nestled in a peaceful beautiful countryside position on a large family run beef and sheep farm. Close to the historic market town of Dumfries and Castle Douglas, with their excellent range of leisure facilities, great selection of shops, restaurants and friendly inns to enjoy. The splendid Solway Firth is close at hand, boasting 200 miles of spectacular coastline and an array of sandy beaches to explore. There are many attractions in the area including Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig castles, Robert Burns house, numerous golf courses and wildlife reserves. For an active holiday, there are plenty of walking, hiking and cycling routes in the immediate area and the famous Seven Stanes mountain bike trails is within easy reach.

Stepping inside this spacious detached farmhouse from the fully enclosed patio into the hall, through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner or enjoy a movie together on the Smart TV. Amazing rural location, hot tub overlooking beautiful fields and farmland. Wide open plan living, kitchen, and dining areas great for groups. All feels pretty modern and very clean. Host got back to us immediately.

We enjoyed a great week in this clean and comfortable cottage. The location is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside yet still close to the amenities offered by a large town. We enjoyed the tranquility of the hot tub and the enclosed patio was perfect for our toddlers and elderly dog.

Cottage is in a lovely rural location yet only 10mins drive from Dumfries. Lots of room for the six of us. The open plan living/kitchen/dining area was great... Meant everyone could always talk to each other. And the separate snug would have been perfect if any of us wanted to step away and have some quiet time. Fantastic holiday home. Spacious and so comfortable, the views are just amazing. Hot tub is excellent and we had roaring fires each day. Kitchen is really well equipped, and the big dining table is perfect. Would definitely recommend!!

This is a beautiful house in a great, private location. The house was clean, spacious and well presented. The garden is lovely and a great space when it's not raining. There's an additional garden outside the paved patio via a gate. Not far from Dumfries for any shopping you might need. Lots of other places to visit in the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay at Braco Farmhouse. It's very secluded and a great location for a chilled holiday with the family. This was our second visit. The outdoor area is lovely for the younger family members as it's all enclosed. When the weather is good, the garden is a sun trap. We really enjoyed our stay at Braco Cottage and found it a great base to explore the local area. There was plenty space for the 6 adults on our trip and the outdoor area was great for our 2 dogs. No local shop or pub nearby within walking distance which wasn't a big deal for us as Dumfries was only 10 mins by car.
