Nestled in the Heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, close to the banks of the magnificent Loch Katrine. Enjoy a cruise from the pier just a short walk away around the splendid Loch Katrine on the fantastic Sir Walter Scott Steamship! The loch gave Sir Walter Scott the inspiration for world famous poem The Lady of the Lake, and in more recent times the popular Outlander TV drama was also filmed here. It was also the birthplace of Scottish legend Rob Roy MacGregor. The immediate area is perfect for all outdoor pursuits with numerous fantastic tracks and trails perfect for hiking and biking.

Enter this luxurious property into the hall and through to the spacious light and bright stylish lounge. Relax on the lovely comfortable sofas and enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner after a day out exploring or watch a great movie together on the Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is the ideal place to cook up a storm in the kitchen area with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and a handy dishwasher. Enjoy family or romantic meals together in the dining area, with ample comfortable seating. Next is the stylish twin bedroom then continuing back through the hall you will find the shower room with shower and WC. Completing the ground floor is the utility room with washing machine. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you are met with a beautiful light and bright king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC, followed by another stylish king-size bedroom and a lovely double bedroom. Next is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Finally completing the accommodation is an additional separate WC.

Venturing outside just a short stroll away up a flight of steps, there is a seating area with magnificent views over the splendid Loch Katrine. Perfect place to enjoy a good local ale, wee dram or a nice glass of wine, whilst admiring the stunning loch views. There is also an additional outdoor seating area available directly outside of the property. Private off-road parking is available directly outside of the property.

Cottage was good , clean and well managed. But the pics were bit deceptive - its one of the small cottages lying side by side The garden is one level up and shared with other cottage too. Perfect setting for an incredible holiday, Wattie cottage had everything we needed and was extremely spacious. Alex was the perfect host and gave fantastic recommendations. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect Scotland getaway from it all holiday!

Wattie Cottage was everything we could have wanted and more. The owners Alex and Mark were really helpful throughout our stay with recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit. Alex had even prepared a welcome hamper for our arrival with locally sourced sweet treats and products. We loved our stay at Wattie Cottage. We were 4 friends, in our 60's and 70's and 2 small dogs. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. We received a warm welcome and some delicious treats. Although it's off the main road the B route was easy to drive and recently resurfaced. We enjoyed some lovely walks around Loch Katrine. Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. It's comfortable, cozy yet spacious, very well equipped and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The hosts also decorated it beautifully for Christmas, which was very much appreciated by our family. Highly recommend.

Had a great weekend stay for my wife's 30th birthday. The host Alex was very accommodating, with lots of nice touches like a welcome hamper of local produce and both Christmas and birthday decorations. Would definitely recommend the Wattie Cottage to anyone seeking a relaxing break with family.

Lovely house for a holiday in the middle of the beautiful Trossachs area of Scotland. Very comfortable and well maintained house - large comfortable bedrooms, spacious lounge with wood-burning stove and large TV plus excellent wifi. Stayed here with my husband and two sons. Beautiful property in a beautiful location have never seen views like that before. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend staying here you can do as much or as little as you want. The owners were wonderful, very welcoming and kind.
