The village of Great Ayton is perched on the banks of the River Leven. Around the village are several interesting walks, with the property also providing an excellent base for the more adventurous walker wishing to explore the nearby North York Moors National Park, especially in the summer months when the moors turn purple with blooming heather. The village of Stokesley is a must-visit, with cobbled streets, boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Head to the Yorkshire heritage coastline to the fishing villages of Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Saltburn with winding streets and where fish and chips are a must. Local iconic landmark Roseberry Topping is located within close proximity, a must see, with routes to the top so you can enjoy the spectacular views from the summit.

The lodge is approached via some steps leading up to the decked veranda area which leads you to the front door. Step through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and you’ll instantly love the characterful decor. There is plenty of seating on which to relax and you can dine at the large table at mealtimes which is big enough for the whole family or a celebration meal. The lounge features a Smart TV with Sky, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Following into the kitchen, the first thing you notice is the large round mirrors and central island where you can perch at the breakfast bar and enjoy some breakfast before a day of exploring. Equipped with all your home comforts and everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal including an electric oven and gas hob, American-style fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The door to the right leads out to the fabulous side terrace complete with hot tub. Beside the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine. Completing the ground floor is a shower room with shower and WC. An additional door leads to the outside where your four-legged friend can enjoy their own space in the ‘Doghouse’. Head up the stairs to the first floor and the quirky decor continues. There are two bedrooms on this floor, both have individually styled king-size beds and both lead out to a shared veranda where you can while away the hours in the hammock or simply sit and enjoy the view. There is also a luxurious shower room with shower and WC, with lovely cosmetic dispensers and robes. Head up to the second floor which is an excellent space for families -  on the landing area you will find twin beds and access to the double bedroom.

Outside, the decking sweeps around the lodge to the private hot tub with nearby outdoor seating -  a fantastic place to enjoy the summer nights with loved ones and dine alfresco. There is free parking available in the nearby public car park, subject to availability.
