The property is stunning, very thoughtfully renovated and beautifully decorated. It has everything you could need for a comfortable stay as well as extra touches like a welcome cake and milk, a spare dog lead and bed, board games for nights in etc. It's a great social space for groups to enjoy. The location is excellent with a couple of pubs and caRead morefes on your doorstep along with some stunning walks right from the front door. It really is a wonderful property and great base for exploring the area. However there was a big but. The house was very dirty when we arrived and had not been cleaned properly. The fridge was dirty & previous guests items had been left in it. Microwave had food marks on the plate. Sugar spilt all over the kitchen cupboard base. Crumbs on the dining table, seats and sofas. The kitchen floor was very dirty with food debris and had not been swept never mind mopped. Everywhere was very dusty, the mirrors were dirty, the bathrooms had not been cleaned, one toilet had urine on it. Shower trays & screens had not been wiped, it just went on and on. It wasn't just poorly cleaned, areas had not been cleaned at all or appliance doors not even opened to check. We spent the first hour cleaning it ourselves, very disappointing particularly from a 5 star property. I contacted the owner afterwards who was very sorry but has not explained why his 3 cleaners left it so dirty. Sadly this really detracted from what was otherwise a beautiful accommodation. Hide
