Set in the heart of Whitwell and 3 miles north-west of Ventnor, this area is a great choice for cyclists and walkers with fantastic routes to be explored, many boasting panoramic views and a wealth of wildlife. Within the village you will find the oldest pub on the island, dating back to the 15th century. The pretty villages of Niton (1.5 miles) and Godshill (3 miles) are within easy reach. Godshill has picturesque streets lined with thatched cottages and tea gardens where you can try out local specialities. This is an ideal base for exploring the island, with numerous attractions including Osborne House, Blackgang Chine, The Needles, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Carisbrooke Castle, Tapnell Farm Park, Yarmouth and Cowes all within 15 miles.

Five steps lead to the main entrance and into this semi-detached property. Once inside you are met with a games room complete with table tennis, pool and a dartboard. Through the double doors, you will find the stunning central living room with its magnificent, vaulted ceiling and characterful windows which give this room and its mezzanine galleried sitting area, a light and bright ambience. There is a Smart TV within this room. Adjacent to the living room is a dining area and the kitchen, which is equipped with a range-style cooker with electric ovens and gas hob, a combination microwave oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. A utility space houses the fridge/freezer. There is a double bedroom with Smart TV on the ground floor and a shower room with WC. This converted property has an unconventional layout with two separate staircases each leading to a bedroom on the first floor, with windows overlooking the central lounge. There is a king-size room, Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC, and a double room with a beautiful French bed and Smart TV. Also on the first floor, along the landing and up a further flight of stairs from the double bedroom, you will find a twin room and a bathroom with a bath, separate double shower and WC. Due to the setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height and low beams throughout the first floor, which only adds to its character and charm.

From the kitchen, head outside to the two enclosed seating areas, with furniture and a BBQ perfect for al fresco dining. There is off-road parking available for two cars to the side of the property.

The chapel is large and roomy - with three good sized bedrooms, but the fourth one upstairs was difficult to use with the beam running across the middle of the room, It was fine for children, but not really suitable for adults. The chapel was very clean and tidy, and the kitchen equipment was excellent. The back door lock was broken so we had toRead more use the main front door, which was not a problem. Lovely home with great quirky features. Host was super helpful and responsive. Great lounge/seating area and nice touch with the games room. Very close to a welcoming friendly pub. Easy walking to Niton and surrounding countryside.

We had a lovely stay at the Chapel. Lots of room for everyone and the games room was great. We were lucky with the weather so spent most of the time out, but the Chapel was lovely to relax in later in the day and evenings. It's location is good and doesn't take long to travel to places.
