This superb cottage dating back to 1880 features dazzling sea views from all of the main rooms. Located in a quiet and attractive part of town, at the end of a no-through road without passing traffic, the accommodation is artfully decorated and arranged over three floors. Close to popular Shanklin, with its pretty thatched cottages, public houses, restaurants, small shops, nearby theatre, and wonderfully sandy beach. Choose to walk to town via the nearby steps that ascend to the cliff top, or via the natural wooded gorge of Shanklin Chine. A short walk along the beach there is a quiet public house serving meals, and further along the promenade is a choice of restaurants overlooking the sea, plus classic seaside entertainments such as crazy golf and slot machines.

Entering the cottage on the ground floor there is an open-plan kitchen with a range cooker with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine; an adjoining utility area features a large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s a lovely dining area with table and chairs beside the windows overlooking the sea. Double doors can be opened from here to a small balcony where guests can admire the view. There are comfortable chairs here creating a lovely social space when meals are being prepared. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a delightful living area with comfortable seating and a Smart TV. This room has large windows along one wall which overlook the sea, as well as French doors opening onto a wonderful terrace with garden furniture. Here, meals can be enjoyed whilst soaking up the incredible sea views which extend across the bay to Culver Cliffs. Steps lead up from the terrace to higher ground so that further views can be enjoyed. Also on the first floor are two bedrooms, both with sea views. The first room has zip-and-link twin beds, which can be made up as a king-size upon request (please advise at time of booking), and an en-suite bathroom with shower over a bath and a WC. The second is a king size including an en-suite shower room with shower cubicle and a WC. There is a separate cloakroom on this floor. A further flight of stairs leads up to the delightful master bedroom with a king-size bed, comfortable seating, stunning sea views and an en-suite bathroom with corner bath, built-in shower and WC. Double doors open onto an inviting private terrace with reclining garden furniture and a swing seat. While-away many an hour relaxing in the sunshine, watching the boats sailing across the ocean.

Outside are the two roof terraces with superb sea views and garden furniture. The garden is located beside a small cliff, care must be taken. Roadside parking is unavailable, cars can stop outside the cottage to unload and then park on one of the roads above the cottage on the cliff top, or in the council car parks available only a short walk away.

Fabulous cottage in a great location with sea views from every room. We loved the outside terrace as when the weather was nice we had our breakfast coffee outside and we also ate out there on a couple of evenings as the views were so lovely.

We love Sea Terrace Cottage so much that this was our fourth visit. Hopefully the owners will let the property again next year as we will definitely be back. Everything in this is property is top quality the beds are super comfy and the views are stunning.

This was a lovely spacious house, brilliantly situated next to the the Shanklin Chine and with a great cafe and a couple of lovely pubs nearby. It's right on the sea front so you have incredibly views to enjoy from the house an easy access to the beach. The arcades and rides and just a 5 min walk which is perfect for the kids.

Lovely seaside cottage in a truly amazing location with glorious views. As close as you could get to Shanklin Chine with the excellent Fishermans Cottage Pub literally a stones throw away. And a few minutes walk to other amenities including two good food pubs, a great beach bar serving hot doughnuts, cocktail slush puppys and Mr Wippy ice cream! WhRead moreat more could you want!! This is the second year we have stayed in this fabulous house. My wife and I are much travelled and rate this home in the top three that we have been fortunate to stay in. For us, it is perfect.

Outstanding location on the esplanade at Shanklin. Being the last house before the Chine there is no through traffic and you have clear views of the sea from most rooms. Great outdoor spaces for the sunny days. The property is very well furnished and is the envy of passers by as many of them stop and stare. This property was the best we have ever stayed in , beautifully clean. its so close to the beach you can just leave the house and in 2 mins be in the sea, you don't need to pack anything, you can see the font door from the beach. Very well located , roomy airy cottage with amazing views over the sea from every room . The terraces are perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying private outdoor time with your family and friends . Kitchen well kitted out , comfy beds , large lounge and kitchen diner .
