We had a wonderful time in Paddington Cottage. Absolutely beautiful place, with pretty much everything we needed to hand - comfortable and cosy. Tea and cake ready to welcome us and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge, plus a face to face welcome from the owner. Nunney is a lovely hidden gem of a village within walking distance of the cottageRead more and positioned close to lots of touristy places too. We wanted peace, tranquility, fresh air and countryside walks - we got our wishes! Sitting at the garden table, enjoying the sunshine and reading with a glass of Somerset cider at the end of the day - heaven. Suitable for dogs and although the enclosed area is a patio, we had permission to use the owners lawn for doggy business (in case our dog preferred to use grass, which he does) as long as we cleaned up straight away, which of course we did. Dog biscuits left as a welcome treat for him too. 9.5 out of 10 holiday cottage! You will not be disappointed with your stay in Paddington Cottage. Hide

This is a lovely, well-appointed cottage located a short walk from the lovely village of Nunney. One thing to note that is not made clear in the description is that 'increased accessibility' isn't accurate - there is a flight of 4 steps down from the front door to the lounge and a further 2 steps from the lounge into the kitchen dinner. It is definRead moreitely not suitable for a wheelchair user or someone with very limited mobility. As long as those aren't an issue for you then it's a great cottage. The patio is a lovely suntrap. It was very warm and cosy. I would think traffic noise is likely to be an issue in the warmer months if you want to have the windows open as it is just set back from a main road. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows are all feather and not great if you like a medium/firm pillow. There was a delicious cake and bottle of wine, as well as milk provided on arrival, and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. Hide

Our stay at Paddington Cottage was fantastic from start til end - arriving to a freshly home baked Victoria sponge was a delightful treat and accompanied our Sunday dinner amazingly. Debbie was an amazing host and contactable via WhatsApp to answer any questions or offer advice. The cottage was warm, welcoming and comfortable - our two famiRead morelies were well accommodated without being cramped or squashed in. Paddington Cottage has to be one of the best equipped cottages we have ever visited. The kitchen had everything you could have needed and was a cooks dream! The only thing I would note is that the cottage is located next to a busy road so if you struggle with road noise this could be an issue, however even though we are from a rural setting we never failed to have a good nights sleep - and I only offer this comment so potential future guests are fully aware of the proximity to the A road. I would stay at Paddington Cottage again in a heartbeat - an amazing host, excellent amenities and superb location handy for Bath, Longleat and Stonehenge. Thank you Debbie for a wonderful stay and for all your help in returning our leftover Alexa! Hide
