This converted barn is situated in a rural yet central location on the Isle of Wight, the perfect spot from which to explore a whole range of the island’s beautiful attractions at ease. Enjoy the crackle of twigs under feet through various woodland walks, or glide on a bike along the island’s phenomenal coastline. The nearest beach is Gurnard (4.5 miles) or, for a nice walk, Thorness (2.5 miles). If you’re looking to discover as many of the island’s top attractions as possible, this home provides the perfect base to truly make the most of your stay; take trips to Osborne House, Blackgang Chine, The Needles, Carisbrooke Castle, Tapnell Farm Park, Yarmouth and Cowes, which are all within 15 miles.

Step into this home to discover the incredible spacious design on offer. From the front entrance, guests can make their way immediately into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which all combine beautifully with the high ceilings and large glass panes to create a wonderfully light living space for friends and family to enjoy. The lounge contains two comfortable sofas where you can relax and enjoy your favourite programmes on the Smart TV; there are a variety of board games for all to enjoy too, and perhaps get the warming wood burner crackling on a chilly evening. The kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances you need, whilst the dining table sits all guests with ease. This home benefits from two downstairs bedrooms with steps to each: one is a king-size and the other is a twin room, and both bedrooms have the added perk of en-suite shower rooms with WCs. Completing the downstairs is a utility room with a washing machine. There are separate wooden stairways on either side of the barn; to the right of the entrance, the stairway leads to another twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a WC. The stairway at the other end of the barn will bring you through a snug room with a Freeview TV and a sofa bed that folds out into a small double, making it ideal for two small children. Just off this space is the en-suite shower room with a WC. The snug space leads through to the master bedroom, with a super-king-size bed, and the two areas together can make a lovely family room with the use of the additional sofa bed.

There is a terrace to the front of the property with an outdoor dining table, chairs and swing seat, and a lawn area to the side with expansive views. The property is set in the heart of fields and woodlands; a public footpath runs across one of the lower fields making it ideal for country walks. There is private off-road parking for up to 5 cars.

Barn not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as a lot of deep steps to lower bedrooms and one doesnt have any handrails. Property needs updating and attention to detail. Would be lovely if a little tlc was given. Good location for getting out and about but entrance driveway difficult to spot as signs for property set back off road so easily miRead moressed. Great place for a family get together. Suited our needs perfectly. Very spacious inside and plenty of outside space for the little people to run around. Really lovely cottage in perfect position to enjoy everything that the Isle of Wight has. It has everything you need however, I would stress that it needs a bit of TLC because there were two patches of the roof that were leaking onto the beds

We decided to stay at the barn due to the size as we were holidaying with our extended family. The accommodation was perfect for all our needs, it was clean, tidy, very cosy for us all to socialise together in the lounge/diner, and the beds were so comfortable, I had the best night's sleep during our stay. We all enjoyed our stay at Buzzard's Barn. Sarah was lovely and very helpful. The barn is is in a lovely location, The nature reserve and salt marshes at Newtown is well worth a visit and only 3 miles from the door step. We all would recommend.
