This property is located in the village of West Lulworth, a pretty coastal village, the main road of which leads down to the horseshoe shaped beach at Lulworth Cove. The village itself has a number of shops, as well as a range of restaurants and pubs, which make it a wonderful place for an enjoyable seaside holiday. The beach is a sheltered pebble cove, which is popular with both swimmers and rock-poolers alike, and is also a good location for diving. Some of the region’s most stunning scenery can be admired from the coastal path between West Lulworth and Durdle Door, and walkers will be rewarded with one of the most iconic seaside views in England.

This contemporary property is a wonderful place to enjoy a coastal retreat with its comfortable accommodation and close proximity to the beach at Lulworth Cove. On the ground floor, guests will find two bedrooms, the first of which is a pleasant double room, whilst the second is a restful twin room. The main bathroom is also on this floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Stairs lead to the first floor, home to the spacious light filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside has plenty of space to relax and unwind on the comfortable sofas and chairs in front of the TV/DVD and the realistic wood burner effect electric fire. Glass doors separate the lounge area from the kitchen/diner, a bright space where there is a dining table seating eight and all the equipment that guests will need to make themselves at home, including a double oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The washing machine is kept separately on the ground floor of the property. A further flight of stairs leads up to the second floor, where the master bedroom suite can be found. This king-size room is a wonderfully peaceful space in the eaves of the house, but the sloping ceilings do mean there is some reduced head-height on this floor. The en-suite bathroom to this room boasts a double-ended bath, separate shower, and WC. The further adjoining twin room can make this level a family suite if desired.

French windows from the dining area lead out to a patio and balcony with garden furniture, itself leading onto a lawn area with views over the surrounding countryside, including Hamburg Tout. Please note, the lawn area is quite steep so very young children should be accompanied at all times.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay by the sea in Dorset. Very well equipped and clean. Comfortable beds and plenty of sofas and chairs for a gathering of eight. We had nothing negative to say about this beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful break at Christopher Cottage and I can honestly say they have thought of everything to make a stay so comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and perfect. I would certainly go back again and would recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing time at Christopher Cottage. It's a lovely house and a short walk to the beach. The weather was sunny all week and it was the most relaxing holiday we've possibly ever had. We've stayed at Lulworth several times over the years and Christopher Cottage was the best place we've stayed in.

A lovely, well appointed, comfortable house, perfect for three generations of our family. Parking on site, very useful. Only a few minutes walk from the sea, passing local shops and restaurants. Beautiful part of the country with lots to occupy the children . We all had a wonderful holiday.
