Footpaths fan out from the area, and you can head into the Yorkshire Dales for classic limestone scenery, with Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside all within 13 miles. The Forest of Bowland (21 miles) offers peaceful moorland and far-reaching views, while the market town setting offers everyday essentials. High Bentham has a choice of local shops, a well-stocked convenience store, independent retailers, including a butcher, bakery and grocers, plus several pubs, cafes and takeaways, a traditional fish and chip shop and a tourist information point. Described as ‘a Diamond of the Dales’, Bentham Golf Course offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities – tee off on a scenic 18-hole golf course in the foothills of the Three Peaks.

Inside, the ground floor comprises three en-suite bedrooms and a handy cloakroom with WC.
