This property is located on the edge of the stunning Snowdonia National Park, surrounded by a breath-taking mountainous landscape, which provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying scenic walks as well as more challenging outdoor pursuits such as climbing, abseiling, and hiking. The historic town of Dolgellau lies eleven miles from the property, and offers a good range of shops, pubs, bars, and bistros. Some twenty miles west of the property, the seaside resort of Barmouth is a home to a wide sandy beach that rarely gets busy even in the height of summer, and offers traditional seaside fun such as donkey rides, amusement arcades, and swing boats. Kite Hall, nestled within the iconic Mach Loop, is the perfect holiday cottage for aviation enthusiasts, offering a unique plane-spotting experience as fast jets soar dramatically low overhead.

Approaching this property up the sweeping driveway, guests cannot help but feel that they are entering their own private retreat. Once inside, the elegant lounge is a wonderful space in which to relax and while away the evenings enjoying the company of family and friends, chatting, cosying up in front of the warming wood burner, or watching a film on the TV/DVD. For leisurely meals, celebratory lunches, or hearty breakfasts, the separate dining room has a huge table which sits next to an open fire, so no one is going to want to rush off at the end of dinner. A second, smaller, dining area can be found in the kitchen, which is a well-equipped room offering both an AGA and a conventional oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms, all of which benefit from en-suite facilities. The first two of these are king-size rooms, both offering an inviting roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC. The third bedroom is another king-size with an en-suite bath and WC, with the fourth and fifth bedrooms both being single rooms, one with an en-suite bathroom offering a shower-over-bath and WC, the other with an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.

The outdoor space that this property offers is not only spacious, offering over two miles of private riverside grounds, but is also beautifully tended and well-appointed, with its own arboretum, a patio seating area with garden furniture and a BBQ, and a sumptuous hot tub where guests are invited to soothe away their stresses whilst enjoying the views across the gardens.

A beautiful old house full of original features and modern equipment. However, the fact that there is no enclosed garden and 3 exit points to roads, one being a very busy A road, meant we couldnt quite relax outside. The reasons we chose this property was because it was advertised as dog friendly. There is a big difference between dog friendly andRead more dog safe. Would definitely recommend for people with no dogs. Hide

We had a great family holiday here, the hall is very warm, with plenty of logs provided if you want to light the log burner. All the showers were great with plenty of hot water. Really comfortable beds. Generous welcome pack. The hot tub was in use every night, star gazing. We mainly cooked our own meals, the kitchen is large and very easy to work Read morein, plenty of fridge space and its very social all being round the kitchen island. We did eat out locally at The Cross Foxes, excellent Sunday lunch and The Red Lion, great pub food good value for money, excellent beer, friendly staff. Short drives to local towns and beaches. Beautiful property with superb gardens in a great location for local walks and easy reach of beaches (Barmouth and Aberdovey recommended) and scenery (e.g. train ride along side of Bala lake). Lovely house with great en-suite facilities. Views are tremendous but even by the holiday cottages definition of enclosed this is not enclosed. There are 2 other properties on the grounds and there is a second drive without a gate. The hot tub was warm but jets were not working. This was fixed but we only had for the last 2 days. The kitchen also lacked some basic equipment E.G, wooden spoons and other essential utensils. Some of the bathrooms were missing mirrors, which made things a bit inconvenient. There were also no facilities to safely dispose of ashes from the fires, and no fire mitt was available. Additionally, the level of dust, particularly on the drop-leaf taRead moreble, was excessive and detracted from the overall cleanliness of the space. On a positive note, we did appreciate the improvements and love the property.

Great house in a good location. Grounds are lovely and it feels very private, even though it's just off a main route (handy for getting out and about to explore). This is a really wonderful house, spacious and comfortable and really well located for walking and swimming in southern Snowdonia. It is large and comfortable with plenty of space to relax and set in a huge garden. Its a bit close to the noise of a busy road but that is offset by the loveliness of the house
