Get the whole gang together at this exquisite holiday home sitting on the outskirts of the Lakeland village of Ambleside. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, it's a perfect accommodation choice for large families or groups of friends in search of a stylish base to call home while they celebrate a special occasion together in the Lake District. Enjoy a gentle stroll to Rydal Water (1.5 miles) to explore its fascinating caves, or head to glorious Grasmere (3 miles) to pick up a slice of its world-famous gingerbread. Spend a fabulous day exploring the village of Hawkshead (5 miles), where William Wordsworth went to school. Check out the Grammar School Museum and then pay a visit to Hill Top House, where Beatrix Potter lived. Alternatively, head into the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere (6 miles) to take a cruise on the lake and relax in one of its traditional pubs.

Step through the side porch and head to one of two lounges – a great feature for multigenerational groups. The first is a relaxing space with a striking wood burner, while the second is a TV room with an electric flame-effect heater. Head to the open-plan kitchen/diner and rustle up your favourite dishes to share at the dining area by the bi-fold doors. Afterwards, if you're yearning for some quiet time, make a beeline to the home office or the sunroom. We always have a fantastic time in my favourite place, Ambleside. This visit was no exception. However, Far Nook property exceeded expectations and we all came away wanting to live there. A perfect property in a perfect location. Simply lovely.

Spacious house with bathrooms for each bedroom. Two lounges & sunroom made space for a 3 generation get together with quiet space for Great Granny. Garden & outdoor space beautiful. Great location for bus & easy walk into Ambleside for cafes, pubs, tennis etc. Kitchen so well equipped.

This is an excellent comfy warm welcoming house. Very clean great stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds.. The garden is a dream so well kept. . Four parking spaces is amazing in such a busy town. The house is so near town a 5 min lovely walk to centre. Ambleside is a very busy town lots of lovely eating and coffee shops excellent bakers. All in all we Read morehad a lovely week exploring the area enjoying walks the museum . We had a cruise down river . Thank-you to the owners who kindly donated this week which I was lucky to win.
