Embrace the calming tranquillity of Ambleside with a stay in this beloved holiday home, a welcoming destination for friends and relatives just a stone's throw from the town centre. Ambleside's attractions - including an independent cinema, tearooms, country pubs and eclectic shops - are all within easy walking distance, keeping you well connected throughout your stay. There are endless opportunities for hikes and bike rides beginning in town, including the Fairfield Horseshoe, a challenging ridge walk taking in Heron Pike (4.5 miles), Great Rigg (6 miles) and Fairfield (7 miles). Windermere (5 miles) and Bowness (6 miles) are within easy reach, and the shores of Lake Windermere - ideal for water sports, nature walks and lake steamer trips - are just 1 mile away. Before setting off on a waterside adventure, visit the Ambleside Roman Fort (1 mile), an English Heritage site showcasing the area's fascinating past.

Natural light floods this well-designed property, creating a bright and welcoming space for slow mornings and restful evenings. The open-plan living area has been cleverly arranged into three distinct zones: a cosy lounge, spacious dining area and modern galley kitchen. Original fireplace features lend charm, while exposed stone walls reflect the property's character across all three floors. The lounge invites relaxation with comfortable seating, a window seat and a Smart TV. Skylights brighten the kitchen, which is well equipped with everything needed to prepare delicious meals, and a utility room on this floor adds further convenience. Upstairs, four bright and inviting bedrooms are arranged over two floors: one twin, one double and two king-size rooms. Both king-size rooms serve as master suites with en-suites and TVs, while the remaining bedrooms share a neat family bathroom on the first floor.

Despite its central location, the property also offers a private, enclosed outdoor space, perfect for sunny days. The paved patio features outdoor furniture with bench-style seating - ideal for resting and recharging between adventures. Two parking permits are provided for local car parks throughout your stay.

Fantastic home and location. Brilliant park and playground surrounded by mountains; walks galore; lovely cafes; all straight out the front door. We'll definitely be coming back. Thank you

Lovely stay in a lovely property. The property was listed as bungalow which probably needs changing, but not an issue for us. A couple of issues but resolved quicky.

Perfect holiday rental in the centre of Ambleside yet nice and peaceful and private. The house itself was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. All furniture and fittings are of a very high standard and very tasteful. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the centre of Ambleside - would 100% recommend and hope to return in future
