Surfers, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts in general will love this chic coastal retreat, which has three bedrooms ideal for six,  but can accommodate eight. Croyde beach, less than 1 mile away, is a surfing paradise, but if you aren’t keen on catching some waves, you could pack a picnic and watch the action from the extensive sand dunes. Saunton Sands and Woolacombe Beach are both within 5 miles, while from Ilfracombe (8 miles), there are boat trips to Lundy. Pull on your hiking boots and stretch your legs on the stunning South West Coast Path, or head to Exmoor (14 miles), for beautiful woodland and moorland walks. Indulge in some retail therapy in the market town of Barnstaple (10 miles) or head to one of the lovely family attractions nearby, including Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife Park and Ilfracombe Aquarium, all within 15 miles.

Beautifully designed for comfort, practicality and style, this lovely seaside escape feels very welcoming, with pale walls, pops of bright colours and natural accents. From the hall you’ll turn right into a beautiful lounge with comfortable sofas, a wood burner and a Smart TV. Patio doors lead from here into the conservatory/dining room, a bright space with views to the garden and room for everyone to eat together. The kitchen also offers a table for four to enjoy meals or snacks, plus a breakfast bar, and has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay. To the left of the kitchen is an office area with a desk. From here, there’s a special surprise: a steep ladder leads up to a mezzanine (overlooking the office) it is a double mattress and does have space for two. Completing the ground floor is a handy shower room with a WC. On the first floor, reached via a narrow staircase, you’ll find three further bedrooms – two king-size and one with a bunk bed – which share a handsome family bathroom.

Open the French doors in the conservatory (one step up) to access the lovely garden. Further steps take you to the raised patio, which is furnished for outdoor dining and features a built-in BBQ/pizza oven. Beyond this, up further steps, is a small area of lawn. Parking is on the street, subject to availability, or there is a public car park around 150 metres from the cottage.

A lovely cottage right in the middle of the village. Clean and comfy, all the equipment needed for a nice stay. Parking is a nightmare, the local pub offers to take cars over night for 10, or you can park there in the day if you eat and drink at the pub.. parking at the village car park is free from 6pm - 8am but then in summer quite expensive and Read morefull most the time.
