Beautifully presented throughout, this property is the perfect place for friends, families, and canine companions. It’s set in gated grounds with a tiered garden, alongside a field and woodland. Matlock (2 miles) offers riverside parks, cafes, wine bars and unique shops, and a mile further along the river, you'll find Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham, where a cable car whisks you up to caverns and sweeping views of the gorge. Step back in time at Cromford Mills (4 miles), visit Bakewell (5 miles), and check out Wirksworth’s farmers’ and artisan markets (8 miles) and Amber Valley Vineyards in Wessington (9 miles). For a grand day out, head to Chatsworth House (6 miles) or Haddon Hall (7 miles). Great walks in the area include Beeley Village and Rowsley loop, and the Monsal Head and Deep Dale loop. You might also like to go open swimming with the Mad Chatters (to be arranged through the owner).

This incredible property has undergone extensive renovation and refurbishment, meaning that it feels luxurious and modern but retains the charm of the original 17th-century cottage. It’s the ideal destination for celebrations, wellbeing breaks and fun, with features including hot tubs, a games room, sunbathing areas, BBQs, a pizza oven, and a meditation glass dome area. The property has an ambience of elegance and boutique chic with bespoke interior design. Enter through the porch and into the impressive, beamed dining room, with its showpiece glass staircase, the heart of this spacious home. To the left, you’ll find the well-equipped kitchen with its striking, nostalgic vintage animal mural wallpaper and distinct cooker splashback, and a handy pantry area leading through to a downstairs cloakroom. From the hallway, choose between two inviting lounges – the first with beams and an ambient wood burner and Smart TV, and the second with a flame-effect electric fire, bold feature regal antler wallpaper and another Smart TV. Upstairs, the home is divided into two wings, with each bedroom boasting a feature, exotic wallpaper or headboard alongside comfortable, contemporary-antique beds. In one wing, there are two double bedrooms and a sleek family bathroom. On the opposite side are two further doubles, including the master with an en-suite shower room. Each bedroom has a Smart TV. All rooms have outstanding views over the Derwent Valley and Stanton Moor on the hillside.

The real showstopper lies outside. The tiered garden offers multiple seating areas, from a BBQ dining spot on the upper level to a pizza oven and tiki bar further down, complete with bar seating, egg chair swing seat, and loungers. A bubbling 50-jet hot tub invites you to unwind under the stars, while the unique glass dome allows you to connect your phone or iPad and set the soundtrack for your evening. And for those who love game nights, the dedicated games room is a highlight – boasting a multi-game table, 50” plasma TV, quirky VW campervan-style bar, Guinness fridge, heater, and an Aviator leather sofa. With off-road parking for up to four cars, everything is taken care of for a memorable group getaway. On an evening, the fun doesn't stop as the outside areas have electric spotlights to enable the romantic and adventurous among you to stay outside if so desired.

Beautiful location in well presented cottage, had a wonderful relaxing stay. Great views from the property. Would have rebooked as soon as we got home but unfortunately the dates are not available in July. Would gladly recommend to anyone who wants a brilliant space ideally situated to do as much or as little as you want to.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. Plenty to do on the terraces - great for family competitions - and really comfortable both inside and out. Highly recommended.
