December 28th...I booked this cottage for my family after having had an extremely emotional and exhausting last few months of 2024 We all needed some R & R in lorry loads...and that's just what we received. It was an amazing place to stay and I really don't know where to start as I could enthuse on every room and it's contents. So much attentiRead moreon has been given to detail. The kitchen in particular was stocked with everything you could possibly wish for, indeed I did notice that most of the equipment came from John Lewis, not what you expect to see in a holiday rental but then again this isn't your usual holiday home The bed linen was 100% cotton and bathroom towels were huge and very comforting (I took a note of the name of the towels they were so absorbing and fluffy...will definitely get some myself) We booked for five days and in that time we only went out once as we were so cosy and warm with the lovely log fires and an efficient heating system. Spending Twixmas at Delacy was such an enjoyable time for my children, grandchildren and myself... bringing peace and warmth. I cannot comment on the surrounding areas as we didn't explore however we did take a stroll into the village centre - it hosts a small shop with limited items but enough for what we wanted and a pub... not the most hospitable establishment, one drink and we left...shame as it had so much potential Would I return to Delacy? Like a shot...and I will do one day. Hide

What a wonderful house. It is so stylish and the attention to detail and the finish is amazing. We spent far too much time going from room to room looking at individual beams and the skilled carpentry, that we had to sometimes remind ourselves to go and spend time with our guests! :) It was perfect for our 60th birthday celebration, in particularRead more the amazing open plan kitchen / lounge / dining / hot tub area which enabled us to have a wonderfully sociable time. We could make so many positive comments, as the quality of the finish is excellent, with a real touch of class. The house has a unique homely feel to it with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was superbly equipped and there were ample provisions for our large group. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious; including fluffy towels and robes. On top of this, the village is incredibly interesting and we had many wonderful walks from the door, and enjoyable meals, including a great Sunday roast at The Bell on the green. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to return. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at the immaculate Delacy cottage and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is peaceful traditional village, great for exploring the Cotswolds and easy to reach. The cottage itself is a beautifully decorated mix of a charming English cottage and modern design, which felt like a home away from home. The kitchen wasRead more fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you could want. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and relaxing, with the master bedroom in particular providing a great nights sleep. The enclosed outdoor space was also a great addition for outside dining in the sun, relaxing in the hot tub, and really convenient for our dog, with lots of great walks nearby too. We cant recommend this cottage enough, we had such a lovely relaxing time and cant wait to return one day. 5 stars! Hide
