New Quay was once a thriving fishing and smuggling port which later developed a flourishing shipbuilding industry. It’s now a popular seaside holiday destination in Cardigan Bay, well known for dolphin spotting boat trips and water sports, as well as its award-winning beaches. The picturesque town has many shops, pubs, and restaurants as well as a heritage centre and marine wildlife centre. New Quay Music Festival is at the start of August with three days of non-stop music from local bands with a few famous names and cover bands thrown in. Visit Cei Bach Beach (3.5 miles) or follow the Dylan Thomas Trail around the town. Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages, a golden beach, and a good selection of restaurants and inns.
As you enter this detached house you are welcomed into a spacious hallway. This leads through to the lounge with its comfortable seating centred around the Smart TV and wood burner. The dining area has seating for eight to enjoy a family meal together and a second cosy wood burner. Walk through to the fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, newly refurbished in 2023, to enjoy a morning coffee – a door leads from here to the garden. There is also a handy utility room. The first floor offers two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, plus a twin room and a bunk room with a TV (bunk beds suitable for children only). Three of the bedrooms share the family bathroom on the same floor. There is also a sunroom on this floor with sliding doors which open onto a patio area, with a table and chairs where you can sit and admire the view out across New Quay Bay.
From the ground floor, steps lead outside to a rear patio and lawned area with garden furniture set on three levels with sea views.
