If paradise exists, it’s here in Porthcurno! Close to mainland Britain's most south-westerly point, the village is home to a fine collection of impressive properties and an award-winning beach where the soft white sand is washed by a shimmering turquoise sea. High cliffs on both sides provide shelter for beachgoers, and at the top sits the iconic Minack Theatre, an absolute must-see. There’s history amid the natural beauty too: cables buried beneath the beach here spread across the seabed to connect Britain to the rest of the world – pioneering work that’s celebrated at the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum. Those with a sense of adventure can walk the South West Coast Path to Land’s End, which is less than 4 miles by car; just on the other side of this headland, Sennen Cove is a favourite among the surfing crowd.

This superb individual property in Porthcurno is a true masterpiece, offering an unrivalled combination of breathtaking views, elegant design and refined comfort. With its four bedrooms, commanding location overlooking the valley and beach and attention to detail in every aspect, this residence provides an exceptional living experience for those seeking a truly luxurious coastal retreat so you certainly won’t be disappointed! From arrival you’re greeted by wonderful vaulted ceilings and lots of light. Enter via the bespoke Cornish copper door into the welcoming entrance with light throughout and cupboards to hang up your outerwear. Head through to the heart of this fabulous home with open-plan living at its finest. The kitchen area is well-equipped with everything you'll need for your memorable holiday, so plan your day with a morning coffee at the breakfast bar or enjoy lunch and evening meals at the dining table whilst listening to music in the background. Next to the kitchen area, you’ll find the utility room for all your everyday needs. Laze on your choice of sofas or cosy armchairs and watch your favourite films on the Smart TV, if you can take your eyes away from the panoramic views! Open up the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and listen to the peaceful surroundings, further extending this incredible living space. From here, you’ll find a calming super-king-size suite with vaulted ceilings, superb views from the comfort of your bed, a walk-in wardrobe, a stylish en-suite shower room, and doors opening up onto a covered terrace to relax and gaze out to sea whatever the weather. There are also two stylish twin bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, Juliette balcony with yet more views to Porthcurno beach and the ocean beyond. From the hallway is a family bathroom with a free-standing oval bathtub, perfect for a long soak after a day rambling the coastal path. Head downstairs to a self-contained suite with a kitchenette, shower room and super-king-size bedroom with window seating and far-reaching views across the cove.

Head outside from the living space onto a superb terrace which provides an ideal setting for Al fresco dining, entertaining or simply basking in the stunning views and soothing sounds of the nearby ocean. Whether relaxing in the summer sunshine or under the star-lit sky in this area of outstanding natural beauty, this truly is a wonderful escape to watch time stand still. From the terrace is a large gravelled area, bordered by mature shrubs and trees giving privacy and extending the outdoor space.

Bracken Bank was shared between 6 friends for a week in April 2024. We were very lucky with the weather as it was really sunny every day! Apart from that, Bracken Bank is a stunning holiday home and although we had seen the photos, couldn't quite believe just how beautiful it is in real life. The accommodation is an extremely high standard, everythRead moreing has been thought of. The view is amazing, and it was lovely to be so close to such a beautiful beach as Porthcurno. The location for us was also ideal, with the coast path and many other lovely beaches and coves in such easy access. Really appreciated the daffodils and cream tea on arrival. All in all, a perfect holiday in a perfect house, thank you. Hide

Fell in love with the views as soon as we set foot in the property (the hill was worth it). We were comfortable and it was suitable for my parents (age 84 and 94) as most of the property was on one floor. Managed to visit much of Cornwall during our visit but always looked forward to getting back to Bracken Bank later in the day. We'd loved to haveRead more stayed longer. Hide
