This delightful, historic property is perched on a hill above Looe with all the amenities of the town nearby. It’s an ideal place for a group of friends, couples or a large family to share as they explore Looe. Life in this thriving fishing town revolves around the harbour, where you can watch the boats coming in, dine on the freshest of seafood and embark on a fishing trip or sightseeing tour of the Cornish coast and Looe Island. Relax on pretty East Looe Beach, conveniently located beside the town centre, or join the coastal path to explore more secluded coves. Cross the river to explore quieter West Looe or wander the town's winding streets, browsing independent shops and galleries, and stopping for coffee and cake in the many excellent cafes.

This stylish period property has elegant, thoughtfully decorated rooms and plenty of space for a large party to spread out and relax. The ground floor is home to a beautifully finished kitchen with wooden work surfaces, an integrated dining area, and a breakfast bar. The lounge is a spacious, comfortable room with sizeable leather sofas positioned around a Smart TV and wood burner. A bay window offers far-reaching views, and sliding doors lead to the balconies. On the first floor, you’ll find a large, shared bathroom and two of the four bedrooms: a king-size with a bay window seating area and an elegant en suite, and a generous twin bedroom with river views. The second floor houses another shared bathroom, a spacious double bedroom and a king-size with stunning views and an en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms have their own TVs.

From the lounge, you can step out onto a covered sun terrace with table and chairs, and then down onto the lower decking, an uncovered balcony ideal for soaking up the sun. Both balconies enjoy stunning views of the river, Kilminorth Woods and West Looe.

Website offered assistance with luggage but we were told that none was available (we subsequently found that there was someone in Looe operating a luggage collection and delivery service. The road from the village to the property was VERY steep and there was then a very steep flight of steps from the road to the property. Also the handrail at theRead more steps stopped two steps from the top - not too much of a problem going up unless you were infirm but quite dangerous coming down if you were to trip at the top. the cleanliness of parts of the property was not good e.g. (a) the kitchen table had remnants of tomato sauce and crumbs. (b) the table mats were dirty - crumbs, stains etc (c) there were sweets on the floor under the furniture in the lounge (d) the shower in the top bedroom overflowed on first use and examination of the drainplug cover showed it was blocked with thick black hair (e) the three terraced patio areas were quite neglected with weeds and grass growing through. (f) The patio chairs and tables were covered in old leaves and green algae/mould (g) the cushions for the patio chairs were just lying scattered on the ground with some being quite dirty - luckily the weather was dry so the cushions were not wet ((h) we had no hot water (other than via the kettle) for the last evening and morning of departure. On the plus side - the property was comfortable and had lovely views of the river and millpool area. Hide

Overall we felt that Ambleside was a very good property for our family group, 6 adults and 1 child. The property has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which was great. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage space and the beds were very comfortable.

A great house for a stay with family and.l friends. We stayed as 3 couples. The rooms are really quiet, and wow what a view. The kitchen is large and easy to entertain. A small walk to the village and all Looe has to offer.

The house was central, had beautiful views of the river and great sun sets! The house is high end, very comfortable with 4 bathrooms and smart tvs in all bedrooms. There were lots of things to do in and around Looe. Would definitely come again.
