This seaside cottage is ideal for a relaxing family holiday or for a group of friends travelling together. Located within sight of North Cornwall’s beautiful Trevone Bay, guests will be able to step out of their front door and feel the sand between their toes within minutes. This lovely swathe of golden sand is very family-friendly and perfect for whiling away the days with sunbathing, swimming or coastal strolls. A nearby cove offers opportunities for rock pooling and the surrounding cliffs are a haven for many types of birdlife. The coastal walking in this area is stunning with beautiful trails to follow. In the village itself, guests will find a friendly pub and cafe as well as several useful shops. The much larger town of Padstow is just 2.5 miles away with its picturesque working harbour and lively high street. The town has much to offer with independent shops to browse and some great cafes and restaurants.

This holiday home is laid out mostly on one level with one of the bedrooms on the first floor. The comfortable lounge has a bay window overlooking the garden and plush seating where everyone can relax and unwind. Next door is a spacious kitchen/diner perfect for sociable cooking and dining. The dining table is arranged in a second bay window that incorporates window seating along one side. A back door opens to the patio and a utility room leads to the family bathroom. This features a bath, a separate shower and a heated towel rail. In addition, there is a separate cloakroom. Three of the bedrooms are also downstairs and these are made up of a charming double, a twin room and another double room (with access from one side of the bed only). Upstairs on the first floor is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, views of the beach and an en-suite shower room.

The back garden is secluded, private and is fully enclosed by a hedge and wall. A patio just outside the back door is set up with a table and chairs. This is a lovely spot to share your meals alfresco or to sit and enjoy a morning coffee in the open air. There is also a lawn with sun loungers, and more lawn with a driveway to the front.

One of the three toilets would not flush. The front panel of the dish washer came off which made it difficult for us to keep the door open when filling and emptying the dish washer. Although these two things were annoying we actually were very impressed with the property and the supplies provided. The housekeeper was particularly accessible and resRead moreponsive. She was unable to resolve the problems while we were there without further inconveniencing us. We understood the limitations of the issues.. The house was very well equipped, tastefully furnished and comfortable. The appearance of the house could be improved from the outside and the downstairs bathroom could be updated, but it didnt worry us. ( Except the separate loo needs repairing as already mentioned).Its position next to the beach with parking couldnt be better and the village of Trevone is very attractive in a great position between two very different beaches (sand and rock) with an excellent beach shop, cafe and bar and on the coastal path with great walks from the house. We have been very happy with Original Cottages. Its the second time we have used Original Cottages - the first time last year when we rented a property in Norfolk. Good service both times. Hide
