Overlooking the bay of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, sits this traditional farmhouse. Originally built in the 19th century, it has been converted into the perfect space for a large family or group of families. The southern end of Abersoch’s main beach is just 0.5 miles away and is a good place for a swim or the more energetic can try their hand at windsurfing and sailing. Alternatively, golf lovers can practise their swing at the 18-hole golf, 1 mile from the property. Those who want to immerse themselves in nature, can enjoy several walking trails including the 11-mile circular coastal route around Abersoch or pick up the Llyn Coastal Path in the other direction, and make the 2-mile walk to Porth Ceiriad Beach.
On the ground floor is a comfortable sitting room with plump sofas and armchairs. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a film or simply sit and gaze at the sea views. There’s even a flame-effect fire to keep things warm on cooler nights. From here, step into the dining room and enjoy a meal at the table with seating for six people or take it easy on the sofa. At the rear of the house is a white-tiled kitchen overlooking an eight-seater breakfast table. Also on this floor are two bedrooms featuring a double bed and bunk beds. Linked together by an interlocking door, the bedrooms are both a good size and adorned with simple furnishings and plenty of clothes storage space. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. From the ground floor, stairs lead to the first floor where the remaining three bedrooms are located. The bedrooms feature a double bed, twin beds, and a bunk bed, and all are awash with natural light and space to put your belongings. There’s also a bathroom on this floor.
Outside, there’s a patio that offers up far-reaching views of Abersoch Bay out towards Cardigan Bay and Eryri - Snowdonia National Park. Dotted with garden furniture, it’s the perfect spot for an al fresco meal, morning coffee, or to just relax and take it easy and listen to the rise and fall of the waves in the distance. Children can also run free on the lawned playing area.
