Only grazing livestock and the occasional passing tractor are set to disturb you when staying in this truly rural spot, just 8 miles from Aberystwyth and the captivating Cardigan Bay. Aberystwyth is a bustling seafront town that’s filled with arts and culture. The area offers traditional seaside charm with its Victorian promenade, funicular cliff railway and wide sandy beach, along with Wales’ flagship art centre showing concerts, plays and exhibitions. From here you can follow the Wales Coastal Path along to discover the many coastal beauty spots of Cardigan Bay including the pebbled shores of Llanrhystud Beach (12 miles). Venturing inland, the Mid-Wales countryside also presents a world of adventure. Discover woodlands and waterfalls within the many walking routes of The Hafod Estate, a National Trust-maintained spot that’s 12 miles from the property. You could also take a day trip to Machynlleth to visit the famous MoMA (25 miles).

Renovated to the highest of standards with a quality finish, this barn conversion is complete with handsome original features and all of your necessary mod cons. With high ceilings, spotlights and fresh white walls, the open-plan living area on the ground floor offers an exceptional place to recharge. To one side of the room, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed kitchen area with plenty of space. On the opposite side of the room is a hospitable lounge area with plenty of seating options and a Smart TV, the ideal spot to retire to after enjoying meals at the adjacent dining table. Sitting alongside a utility room and a shared bathroom is the ground-floor bedroom. This room marks the first of three super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms which can be made into twins on request. Two more of these versatile bedrooms can be found on the first floor, alongside a twin bedroom with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Benefitting from an elevated position, all three bedrooms on the first floor offer countryside views that are simply delectable. A shared bathroom completes the property’s offering.

This property comes into its own in warm weather. With areas of patio and lawn, an abundance of seating options, a private hot tub, a gas BBQ and even its own bar, there’s always going to be space to live life alfresco when holidaying here.

Lovely converted barn , everything you could need there! The owners have thought of everything! One thing we think it needs its a wooden cover over some of the patio and hot tub as the weather is always unpredictable

We had a brilliant family holiday. The owners could not have done it enough. Just as constructive the shower downstairs got blocked and the WiFi didnt work the whole time. The Wi-Fi was only an issue because the signal was poor as understandably its in the country. But to be fair to the owners they were extremely helpful and it would not stop me boRead moreoking again. Very friendly and approachable owners. Quiet location, maybe a little too remote for some especially out of tourist season as a lot of places that are nearby (with 10-20miles) are closed. Warm property with comfortable beds and furniture. The hot tub was a nice bonus and was lovely to rest in after a long walk on a cold day. Work was being done on the mast and we were made aware that there may be problems. hopefully will be back up and running properly soon. The dogs enjoyed the grassy area to run around on and were particularly fascinated with the goats. The chickens had an enclosure but seemed to enjoy being free range so we had to check before letting one of our dogs out as she would have made light work of a chicken! All in all, a good stay to explore the countryside. The local pub, the falcon inn, was a great little pub to take a walk to across the countryside (check opening times before visiting though as only open sporadically through the week) I also left a couple of small items at the property and the owner has kindly sent them to me in the post Hide

Beautiful property! Friendly welcome by owner. Very clean, well stocked, very comfy beds. The night sky is on another level. The stars can be seen so well as there is very little light pollution. Just overall wonderful break in a warm and friendly house thats modern and spotlessly clean. To top it off, our dogs felt welcome too.
